Interesting, I was considering a G10 Gold for my Cornell Stinger/Romany thing 'cos I find the Jensen C10Q a bit shrill, and the Gold does sound really really good on some youtube demos, but it won't fit - the magnet cover would hit the output tube.
So that saved me £120+ even for a used one.
Mind you now I fancy trying an Emi GA10-SC64... which would fit...

I was round a friend's the other day, he has a recent-ish AC15 and I was really surprised at how much I liked it. It's been ages since I tried a Vox! The trem and reverb are good and the tone controls are really interesting.
As well as a bunch of guitars (Duo Jet, Airline, Rapier 22, etc etc) he has a fucking amazing dual console 60s Hammond plus a method of running guitar through the organ preamp into his ancient Leslie rotating speaker. TOTAL religious experience.

IMO the Ricky deserves some Virtuoso (the cleaner not the polish). It's spooky how it works on cracked, sticky old nitro. I actually envy you having the pleasure ahead.
You may have to order some from the US, but it'll be worth it. I've got a little bit left here in SE5 if you fancy doing a trial patch.

Speaking of Seiko 7A28's, a friend's ex-group captain father has a 7A28-7120 from his RAF days that I'm dying to take a photo of sometime. Oddly though he didn't keep the one from his active service but wrestled one new from the QM stores, with much difficulty I was crisply informed, nearer his retirement.
Had a very entertaining timepiece conversation with him a year or two ago. They were all issued Omegas while operating Typhoons out of Germany in the early 70s and at one point he went through three watches in as many months thanks to a sudden obsession with ice skating that took over half the officers' mess. Or there was the time he was forced to fly a Lightning back from a recce to Cairo without its all-important cockpit clock that had been inadvertently left with the ground crew. I got the impression that if he'd lost visual with the other aircraft he would have been very properly stuffed. Anyway it turned up at his home base several months later in a battered brown paper parcel covered in stamps and Arabic writing.

Ha. I know our Deptford friend of old after playing many a gig at the Nest. We're currently back on acceptably amicable terms after he pissed me off royally by recommending a brown bean cure for a friend with terminal cancer. He is indeed the well-known ex-flautist and his predilection for playing his own tracks in the breaks continues unabated. Tis a funny old world.

Sure, Watchway https://www.watchway.co.uk/product-page/g-shock-band-10323536
Or Tiktox, P&P inc. https://www.tiktox.com/product-page/10323536
10323536 is discontinued and replaced by 10627149 but the nice man at Watchway thinks it's the same.

Well that's how the one I tried seemed at the time... but they are extremely cool. Such a weird time for Gretsch to go wonky Jetsons in design when every other maker was moving towards slick and posh.
I would love an ex-Becker guitar. Remember looking at the Juliens auction - he had stashed away multiples of everything, bonkers...
