I actually had it covered as part of my home insurance.when I spoke to them they did a valuation themselves... irritatingly they valued the frame (old for new replacement) at around 700 or so (even though it wasn't anywhere near worth that much!) , but there was a cap of 150... which is what I got. Make sure check the small print the forms if you go that route.
I think you should probably put that question to the forum, as I think there will be people who have a bit more experience. I'm pretty certain you'd be able to find specialist cycle insurers for that type of thing, but I'm not too sure myself!Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Good luck with the search...
