I seriously think the ITMs would be the better option, I wasn't impressed with the angel bars, I think most of their flexibility is due to the the shape of the stem, and the fact that they are welded together, I now have Cinelli Pista (£55) stem and bars, and even in the drop there is no noticeable flex. Also they're made for a TT bike, which are shorter, not a lopro, which makes the extensions uncomfortable/pointless (I had mine on my Mash Bolt). If helps you make your mind up you can come try them out, but you'll need a quill to 1&1/8 adapter.

cheers, thats pretty much what i did. now that I know what happened was
i installed the levers and made sure the carrier was in the correct place
then to check that they were working I downshifted.
but because there wasn't any tension the carrier skipped past the end of the cable
so then when I shifted back up it trapped the cable in the ratcheting system
I got the instructions to disassemble it, but theres a C ring which requires a special tool
so after 2 days of trying get the thing out with various tools (the paper clip didn't work for me, due to the way it was wedged in) I took it to mechanic, who sorted it out in about 5 mins.....
The diagram is accurate!
