Do you guys have different shoes for different speed runs? I've just gone into a YouTube hole and am shocked by the amount of different shoes some of these guys have. I rotate shoes if I run back to back days but I've aways just had the same pair.
Am I in the wrong or am I being conned by marketing hype? -

I’ve been running three/four times a week for five or six years. I’d like to go up to five days a week (Monday-Friday) and not run on the weekend (just had a kid so time limited).
I was thinking of three slow runs of three miles and two harder runs (sprints Tuesday and and 5 miles Thursday). Does this sound sensible?

I read somewhere that you shouldn’t run back to back in the same shoes.
Something to do with the cushioning. Probably a load of rubbish though but I’m willing to imagine it helps!
