Damn wheelie-bins.
The old nursing home down the road from me is being converted into flats. The plans used to have a hut thing in the front for wheelie-bins but the neighbours complained about not enough parking (which is rubbish) so the hut has gone and the wheelie-bins will now be in what was going to be the cycle-store.
So instead of building 6 flats with a secure cycle store for 6 bikes (not nearly enough but a start) there will be 6 flats with no bike parking but more room for cars. Hooray.

I'm not sure about this one but my other ideas had either been removed by the authorities (was going to be http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4115/4789866500_334d501032_z.jpg because I love the graffiti) or it was just too damn dark.

Greetings folks,
Perhaps it is just me, but for fear of sounding like a complete Luddite, do you really need a GPS sat nav type thing anyway?I was pleased to have my GPS last year, without it I'd have followed some others up a wrong turn. The route sheet is good but it's easier to follow a directions when the thing beeps a few hundred feet before a turn.

If she was heading for Thomas More Square where News International have a lot of offices she might not have been turning left.
I daily cross the same junction and the temptation to try and pass vehicles is high as the wait at the lights is fairly long and for me it comes just after what often feels like a long wait at Cable Street.

Apparently a Jewel Box, I assume the sparkly things are hidden away inside.
