The reason I'd do this is because the only other ways I can find to get a track tandem chainset involve dropping very large amounts of cash or using fairly shitty looking touring triple cranksets, and I came across something (which I now can't find) that suggested single side drive is a possible solution.

I think it might depend on your feet. I've heard a lot of people say the Kursks rub their heels but I've never had that problem and find they fit the shape of my feet really well. I had to go down a size and a half compared to usual though which I thought was weird.
Anyway I like them a lot, I wear them all day and the only time I feel like I'm not wearing regular shoes is on big staircases, but they're still plenty stiff enough - they're fine for commuting obviously but I'm also happy to wear them for 50-60 miles rides.

Back at mine getting some food finally
These guys can climb the bitchling but they can't finish one little kebab...There was only 8 of us in the end but it was a quality group and some great riding. Can't believe I managed to do Ditchling on my lo pro, but can't compete with Dom's beasting it up. A well deserved KoM cap for him. And I guess it was my fault we got lost but it turned out all right I think, sketchy off-roading on carbon wheels was the icing on the cake of this ride for me.

^^^I misread your post/had just measured the drop earlier and wanted to post it which is why I came back with that. Saddle is fine normally and maybe needs shifting for the aero bars but then what apollo said is true so yeah.
Martin don't spread misinformation about my legs...
Anyway I got bored while I was playing with different stems and decided to try an experiment:

so yes saddle height is probably the least of the issues when it comes to setting up this bike badly -

barring any problems I'm getting this at the end of the month
I feel this is my duty as probably the only person with both the space to keep it and the stupidity to do it.
