Didn't think there's a compact drop in 26 clamp size, were the bontrager obtainable?

I was plesantly suprised when I found them, not many companies seem to offer a 26.0 bar let alone a compact version. I ordered them through my LBS and the distributor had plenty of stock. They're the SSR VR-C 26.0, I noticed a few online retailers had them in stock as well.

I find that the compact bars and S900 levers feel a lot more comfortable than the 3TTT Morpheus bars and Shimano Exage levers I had on there before.

I'm pretty much always on the hoods or in the drops so it's hardly an inconvenience. Plus it was some old tape I had lying around that had already been cut short, I'll change it to some Deda tape once I get round to buying it.

I've made a few changes to my fixed bike.

It's a bargin at $26,000.
It would be so much better if all of the anodised parts were the same colour and the stem was slammed (or at least flipped to allow the spacers to be removed).

That's an internal headset. Integrated headsets do without the cups as the bearing faces are machined into the headtube (or molded in a carbon frame).

If I remember correctly Chris King refused to make integrated headsets as the bearings could wear away the inside of the headtube potentially ruining your frame. I don't think I've ever heard of this happening with a correctly set up headset.

I've been waiting for the next batch of beaters to mature. It's far more time consuming than buying expensive period correct components off ebay and hanging them off a suitable vintage steel frame.

I know this is a bit of a grey area with the rider on the bike but I can't find it on it's own.

I think the frankenbikes needs to be removed from the thread name it seems to do more harm than good.

I passed you all coming down hill out of Cobham. I apologise for not saying hello to anyone, I was suprised to see so many bikes on my local roads and wasn't aware there was a forum ride, though I'm sure I just looked like I was working on my holier than thou roadie persona.
