The stem is currentyl cooking in caustic, but the seat stay is beyond my skills..Can anyone help me out/ tell me what my options are?
The OLN is now 117mm... (Would it have been 130 before?)

Bought this from colnago costa a couple of days ago:

Stripped the paint off yesterday and then chucked some parts on today:

Anyone ever tried anything like this:

I had this with an SKF bottom bracket. Had to use a plumbers blow torch to remove it, which damaged the paint.. Really pissed me off, had to sell the frame cos it reminded me of the bottom bracket.
Sometimes i see SKF on the wheels of the overground and i feel a little twinge of anger and resentment,,

Just picked this up this and stripped it back.. Stuck seat post came out using the special method. Everything seemed good - until i examined the frame and saw 2 nasty cracks around the bottom bracket area.
Is it possible to rescue this? I guess it had taken a bottom bracket before without issues... Could it still be built up as is?

Ive got this eclipse 'countrymen' bike that I'm not using.
Made in 1985 i think. £180. SOLD
photo removed
531 frameset. 60cm top tube ctt and 58cm seat tube ctc.
Very nice campagnolo/wolber wheelset. True and smooth, no play in the hubs. Gum wall tyres.
Weinmann brakes and levers. The brakes are good with original pads but the hoods on the levers are perished.
Suntour cyclone MII group with suntour 6 speed freewheel and original DID (made in japan) chain. (The chain is worn to 0.75 but not yet 1.0 so still usable.)
The seatpost and stem are both free, I've taken then both out, greased them and put them back in.
The saddle is not original to the bike but seemed about right. No pedals at present but i can put some on, i think i have some sylvan style somewhere.
Bike is in NW3 2JR near gospel oak overground station if you want to come and try it out.
I understand this is probably more of a retro bike kind of thing bit I'm hoping someone on here will go for it so i don't have to post it!
