I plunged and spent £20 on a wipperman connex link which you can now get in 12 speed.

Use it as many times as you like and doesn’t require a tool to break or rejoin the chain which I always found a bit fiddly.

I think it’s well worth it for that alone but also to not have a niggle in the back of your mind about whether you should reuse a link.

Been to bocas del toro twice, had a lot of fun there but that was nearly 20 years ago when I was also fun. Some nice quiet beaches and I remember some jazzy looking frogs but no other wildlife.. Other than that just a few messy nights in bars. Don’t remember the main bit having a huge amount to entertain a family but that could have changed, or could be available on a different budget to what I had then.

Went to a couple of other places in Panama but nothing I’d recommend.

Costa Rica did have more wildlife and nicer beaches on the pacific side and would be a better bet if you’re really set on Central America. But yeah more expensive.

To add in case useful, I find it pretty comfy for normal riding and I like it, but your bum does slide on it when you’re trying to hold an aggressive position, so I don’t use it on my race bike. Switched it out during a bike fit.

The strip of material on the back of a tune isn’t really padding and it wears and splits pretty quickly.

Revamped an old f-91w with a broken strap that I’ve had for years and switched the display out. Think I preferred the original strap.

Yeah but I’ve not got the roof rails to fit the bars unfortunately… you can get them retrofitted but it’s megabucks

Yakima once did a rack for minis without ‘naked roofs’, but they don’t do it anymore and weren’t common in the U.K. anyway. Thule don’t do them either.
