I remember ploughing through a minefield of sheep turds on a Welsh road. The splatter wasn't even the same colour as mud, so there could be no fooling myself.

I've used Roadracers on two bikes before. They're a pain to fit (but I find all mudguards a pain). I will wait until we have a more accurate weather forecast for Saturday, then panic buy in an OLBS - an overpriced London bike shop.

Looks like there's some threatening weather on the horizon. Big fat rain cloud cutting across the country, but it might not reach as far south as London. Guess we'll find out!

^^^ That's how I felt with all the Kenyan youth. They weighed like 50-55kg and were averaging 20mph+ on 100-130km races. I would practically lose sight of them on any hill.

I have a friend based in Hoxton, he's 180cm tall (5'11") and fancies a single speed bike to get started around London.
