I remember ploughing through a minefield of sheep turds on a Welsh road. The splatter wasn't even the same colour as mud, so there could be no fooling myself.
I've used Roadracers on two bikes before. They're a pain to fit (but I find all mudguards a pain). I will wait until we have a more accurate weather forecast for Saturday, then panic buy in an OLBS - an overpriced London bike shop.
-
As far as this sort of thing can be trusted four days in advance...
Looks like there's some threatening weather on the horizon. Big fat rain cloud cutting across the country, but it might not reach as far south as London. Guess we'll find out!

Just in case you're building something special, I still have an early 1980s Super Record groupset over here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread90930.html

All items currently in Billericay, Essex. Can be brought to London when I pop in, or even posted. But not till after the weekend, I'm currently in Yorkshire.
**HP Envy 13.3" NotebookSOLD **
**Mavic Open Pro CD rims on Campagnolo Record hubsSOLD **** San Marco Rolls, white - Mint**
Not a mark. £35
**Schwalbe Marathon Dureme 700x35c [pair] **
Folding clinchers, 475g each. Possibly the lightest and fastest rolling touring tyres available. Slick centre, tread on the shoulders. These have never seen a road. Fitted but never used - not enough clearance on my road frame. Currently £48 each at CRC, so a barginous £70 for the pair.

.
Planet X hub - 24h - Shimano freehub
243g. Mint. £30.
3ttt Pro Chrome stem - 12cm
This has a rise on it. It allowed me to use a 56cm frame when normally I use a 60cm. Only used for about 6 rides, so near mint. £18
.
Campagnolo / Look Delta pedals . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Look Delta pedals
Paint a bit tatty but functionally superb. £10 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Even tattier, but fully working. £7

Would any kind Londoner please lend me their couch on Friday night?
I though I'd be able to stay with my chum in Deptford, but alas I cannot. I do not fancy travelling from Billericay to Sidcup for a 7:30am start.
