@Alban
Sheldon may gain you some ground, but likely not the 50% extra pull you need. Perhaps combine it with other methods.

I'd be surprised if the Shimano skewer didn't just sort the issue.
If it makes you feel better then use some 60/80 grit paper on the dropouts.
I had a lightweight skewer which slipped on my chromed dropouts, sent me flying. I bought an Ultegra skewer and it's not moved since. Rock solid. Shimano holds the patent for internal cam QR skewers, so they are simply way better.

Sup y'all. A friend of mine is after a nice road bike, basically the best thing he can find for £500-700.
Shimano 10 or 11 speed
Full carbon, or alu/carbon
Clearance for 28mm+ tyres would be a bonus.Frame size probably M/L or 55-57cm seat tube. He's 180 cm tall.
We'll trawl eBay but would rather buy from a trusted LFGSS user.

I would say that even with original paint you are not going to achieve a nice even finish.
I would suggest just putting a dot of good metal paint (enamel?) over the chip - just enough to fill. Then let it cure, sand a little if not flat, and then put a black sticker/decal around the tube to make a stripe. Or any other decal you fancy putting on.

Looks like a tasty build.
Besides FD limit screws there are two other things to check:
