I didn't have any plans to make any saddle bags I'm afraid.
There are some big changes ahead for me after Christmas and I want to get through the current backlog of big bags before I implement these changes.
After that I'll be off the radar for a while, but I'll post more about what's happening nearer the time. -
The five INDIGO pouches above will be finished this weekend so I'll PM people to arrange collection/delivery.
I was hoping to get straight onto a big bag next, but I'm going to have to go onto another batch of the smaller VIOLET pouches instead.
It'll be payment up front again and as soon as they're ready I'll arrange collection/delivery.
They're £5O each as before...if you want one and can pay by transfer straight away, add your name to the list and PM me for payment details.Cheers!

The lakes are well respected by people who's opinions I respect, so I wouldn't think twice if I had the money.
Even slightly cold feet can ruin a nice ride.
Your motivation to go out in the cold is definitely higher when you know the elements aren't going to ruin things.
Good kit is an investment worth making. -

Yeah it's the megacorporations keeping us down man, the Illuminati are probably involved too. They're not fooling you though! Mankind would surely be doomed if it wasn't for shining beacons of independent thought like mr Porter and yourself. I mean us sheeple will just eat anything the corporate world will force feed us and if we're done we'll ask for more. So blind are we that we do not completely disregard 30 years of advancement in aerodynamics and technology in general, and we will happily buy into this fad of so called "aero frames" while clearly an old steel bike with a couple of holes drilled in it is just so much better in every respect.
Thanks for the red pill Morpheus, now go on and drill some random holes into your frame, ride it a zillion miles per hour and set some records man!!!Does somebody need a hug?

You're pretty naive to think that the million dollar bicycle industry cares more about pure performance than making money.
I'm not, and I'm guessing Dave Porter isn't either, trying to claim that his drillium frame design will suddenly allow all of the 'I've bought a fixie so I'm a cycling expert' , or 'I've bought a brazing torch and have 12hrs frame building experience bodging my polo bike' forum members to break records....but if there is any advantage from the design, then it's still an advantage.
The size of the advantage it offers compared to the cost and complexity of mass production dictates the attention it receives from the majors. However, for somebody in the market for a unique custom frame, who perhaps wants to gain any advantage from their frame has the option to buy from small builders like Dave who are willing to try different ideas to other builders.
If people have broken records while using his frames, then I would say that's worth more than any forum members 'I think this' or 'I assume that' theories, who have far less to back up their 'theories' than Dave Porter does to back up his.
Now why not get back to bitching about grammar or the type of font used on Lightweight's wheels, which lets face it, most of you web designers and glorified secretaries are more qualified to discuss than you are to be discussing bicycle frame design and the theories of air flow.
Have a nice day! lol, rofl, etc

Can someone clarify something for me.
Given that the sweep is the same and the same stem is being used, a flat bar with a 2cm spacer under the stem will give the same position and handling as a 2cm riser bar with no spacer under the stem?
So if I am looking to keep a frame and fork for many years it may be best to set it up with a flat bar now and possibly change to a riser bar if I become less flexible with age?
Currently trying to decide on how far down to cut a steerer tube. Is 2 cm of spacer above and below the stem too much?
James, the chances of you NOT upgrading to the latest wonder fork in 'years to come' makes a discussion about cutting down a steerer with thought to future position changes kind of pointless. :]
You'd only had a MTB a few weeks before you'd upgraded to Chris king hubs a TI frame, and new forks! :]

So we have a guy with 4Oyrs frame building experience, who isn't afraid to try new techniques and ideas to try and squeeze out some extra advantages over regular frame designs, who's frames are then involved in records being broken, lots of records, regardless how insignificant certain people find them, comes on here to defend his ideas against people who most probably have exactly 4Oyrs LESS frame building experience than him, but think they know everything there is to know about cycling, trying to tell him all about frame building and design, and belittling his achievements.
People have been trying all kinds of little tricks and tweaks over the years, to frames, components, positions, to try and gain any advantage, no matter how small.
This guy has done the same, and people have then gone on to break records using his frames and ideas.
I don't think he really has to explain or defend himself to the LFGSS experts any further. -

i was just about to post the exact same thing...i saw one of their roll top backpacks in a shop here in Toronto this week, very very solid bags.
Since they've begun expanding their workshop, and I assume both equipment and staff, their work has definitely improved from earlier bags I've seen.
I haven't seen one up close, but from pictures they look pretty well made.Although, it's not always what you CAN see that determines how long a bag will last. ;]

Another option for people in the market for a backpack or basic messenger style bag.
YNOT has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years and expanded their business to meet demands.
Their current range looks pretty solid. -
You 'think' you can see what they have 'tried to do', but as I said last night, it's pretty simple....
"I swear, putting a modern group on a bike that previously had 8-speed Dura Ace STi on it is like getting a brand new machine. I loved the "period correctness" of the last build but man, riding 52/46 with an 11-24t cassette up 5,000+ feet of elevation sucks! So when I came across a deal on my Phil Wood road wheels, SRAM Force shifters and RED Black cranks, I pounced. I really, really, needed to upgrade."
No mention of aesthetics or whether it 'works' or not.

Not that I've heard of...I don't even have one myself at the moment. I had to sell mine after the DD.
