I'm confused. If the hanger (on the frame, part of the dropout normally) is bent, this doesn't mean you need a new mech. The fact that the replacement mech worked fine suggests your frame hanger is OK. when you say hanger, are you meaning the mech attachment point ( actually on the mech itself) ?

Is there any way that these wheels could work with a Dura Ace 7410 8 speed setup?

Either by using an 8 speed Campag cassette or by fitting a Shimano cassette?

I've heard that on some Campag wheels, the hub carrier can be changed to allow a Shimano cassette to be fitted.

7400 is the nicest. The perfect combination of form and function - before this it didn't function as well (or look as nice, IMO) and after function became more important, but it didn't look as nice.

I'm biased though because I also have a lovely set on my Colnago (including stem, hubs, post, casette, SPD pedals, everything). Hence being a DA7400 geek ;)

I have a 7410 grouppo that I bought from Saarf, fitted to my Colnago. I think it also has a great combo of form and function...

This thread is one of the highlights in my day. It's just surreal...
