Does anyone have any recommendations for a 1 inch quill stem for someone with a small head tube? current one is about 6 inches (the bit that goes into the forks) but in order to 'slam dat stem' i need something closer to the 4inch mark.
i could try cutting but it seems like a pain in the tits to get the angles right.
Anyone got any or know where to buy them or even what the technical terms might be so i search myself.
cheers y'all.

including that weasel of a copper. In fact, the bit that really got my blood boiling was when the cabby said "you know what THEY are like" and instead of staying neutral like he kept hammering on about, he basically agreed.
disagree. the point he was making was part of his job was to get people to calm down and move one and not antagonise people. it's not his job to ague the case either way.
That copper:
Bloke jumps a red:
"Oy! Come here! You jumped a red light!"
Foxy girl who jumped a red light:
Indulgently, with a chuckle
"Now, why did you jump that red?"
"The little man was on green!"
"Now, you're not a pedestrian, are you? What are you?"
Simper.
We didn't see the outcome of either. For all we know he could of ticketed both or neither. We saw a very edited clip.
Rather him than me and rather him out there doing his bit than no one.

Pandas are bred because they are cute, they can sell them to zoos around the word (Eninburgh zoo recently bought one), and they attract tourism, and also funding for the breeding program charity. It is an industry based around the exploitation of an animal that basically doesn't function properly- they dont breed, they can't adapt, they have a weak digestive system.
Similarly the Pug is bred and sold because people find it cute, but it can't breathe, is prone to asthma and heart attacks. Although the panda species existed before human intervention, the current situation is similar.
edit- There are 1600 pandas currently in the wild, which is a fragile situation since they on average reproduce at a rate of slightly less than one. The chinese economy unfortunately is more important than the protection of this habitat, which is gradually being encroached on. Effectively the chinese are destroying the wild panda but making a show of protecting it by captive breeding.
So what you're saying we should finish off the panda's quickly and keep expanding? Where does it end? What animal is next?
First they came for the Pandas, man.

The amount of wrong going on with that bike is giving me the fear.
go on then. educate me. the saddle is a bit incongruous and if that front wheel is 650 (which it looks like) then marks removed for that. but otherwise what's the problem?
(I'm not contesting it and It's not my bike or anything - i'm genuinely interested)

Is this a good deal? Fuji Feather.
a brand new one will cost you less than £500 without any digging around. probably get a deal online for less. less again for a second hand one.
