So I finally got a table (door) big enough to fit everything on. Photo before cabling so looks a bit less tidy now.
I think having everything in the 'right place' has helped considerably. Still want the +8 inputs because I cant use any more than 1 of the 18 individual outs and to do that I have to mono one of the synths.
Made a little recording and feel like I'm starting to get somewhere. The kick is compressed and the droney chord from the NF-1 goes through the Korg delay. Everything else straight out the synths:

Trying to avoid corner traps because I find them visually unappealing and will be difficult to install as I have RSJ in 2 corners/along one edge of the ceiling + door in another corner.
I don't mind so much the bass sounding 'louder' as I feel it's something will be relatively easy for my ears to adjust to/can check in headphones. Mainly trying to stop everything else rattling around the room a bit.

^ Bonkers indeeed.
I am doing a bit of a bedroom reshuffle because I want to get all the equipment neatly laid out. At the moment I am plugging/unplugging/moving things around and got cables all over the place.
I'm considering doing a bit of DIY acoustic treatment. Bass traps (edit: in corners) seem to be the most effective but also look sh*t so I don't want any, as the rooms primary usage will always be as a bedroom. Am I doing to see any real benefit from having a few panels (likely to my immediate L+R and on the ceiling) + diffuser on back wall?
Bedroom measures approx 6.5 x 3.0 x 3.0 and I'm using it lengthways.
TLDR: If you are going to do a half-arsed job on acoustic treatment is there any point in bothering?

I had no experience and have managed to do a just under 100sqm mains ring, some lighting plus a few other things (running lights from a mains spur, hotel style lighting sockets) with the help of google, youtube videos and sticking the odd Q in this thread.
Mains is very straightforward. Lighting can get a bit confusing when you want multiple switching.
Got someone to come around who put a meter on everything and opened a few of the sockets to check my work and signed off.
The crawling around on your knees and working with tiny small screws etc. can get a bit tiring. A proper pair of wire strippers and wago’s make the job 100 times easier.

I picked up this slightly sorry looking but aesthetically pleasing chest of drawers for next to nothing and would like to do a Semi-refurb. I know how to use tools but my knowledge of non-structural materials is poor.
It was a jewellers display cabinet and I’ve chopped the ‘display’ part off. Could someone recommend which type of wood would be a good match for a new top piece?

Abandoning this project due to spending money on non-road bikes.
Gazelle Champion Mondial Special AA 1988 (I think). Reynolds 531c, Cinelli spolier BB.
ST: 60cm CTC
ST: 61.5cm CTT
TT: 58cm CTCFrame is quite rusty although not rusted through and needs repainting. The chrome has some very minor pitting and would be passable with a good polish. Frame is straight with no dents. There is a small crack on the seatclamp which seems to happen to all of this type, Gazelle changed it for '89. I rode it for a year no probs.
I received the frame with an unknown fork that fits, which is included.
I acquired the correct fork for it (531, sloping crown, Campag ends) for the planned refurb, but the steerer needs replacing as it is too short.
£80 collected N4, or £100 with the Record HS in VGC.
