Nothing will be truly waterproof without seam sealing, which is generally complicated and/or expensive to do properly.
Providing you’re using a sensible outer fabric + tension on your machine is set up correctly, once sandwiched together with the rubberised zipper it’s going to let very much water through.
Using the thickest possible thread in the smallest possible needle will help a bit. You can also put a small amount of silicone or similar along the stitch line (between the layers). Apply with a small brush or similar, don’t try to run a bead from a caulk gun 😊

I’ve worn the trousers out cycling in some pretty sh*t weather over the last couple of months and they’ve been fine over a 4ish hour period. - in heavy rain the face fabric gets saturated but they still kept me dry. Only worn the jacket once in a light shower and it beads up, but assume in same condition as trousers.

On that note is anyone in the market for a Focusrite Clarett 8pre USB or Behringer ADA8200? Both VGC + with boxes etc.

Have been hoarding this because it’s amazing but but the jacket is a bit too tight and the trousers bit too short. For reference I am a leggy 6’3 with 38 chest, 31 waist. I think you need to be 36 chest and 6 foot maximum.
Jacket measures 53cm p2p laid flat.
1/2 waist in the trousers is 38cm (unstretched) to 48cm.All taping, zips, velcro etc. is perfect. There is a small nick in the outer fabric near the crotch but the membrane is still in 1 piece. Very slight amount of tarnishing to the reflective logos, mostly the ACG one on the trouser leg. Overall is in pretty excellent condition and probably as good as you’ll get short of buying deadstock.
£140 collected N4. Postage at cost but might take me some days to find the time/mentally prepare myself to stand in the queue.

Does this apply to satellite also? I just bought a the 16a so funds allowing will be adding that in before end of March (as they currently have a deal which includes 2 plugs I would likely have bought anyway)

if I’m going to get started building wheels should I buy a better stand (TS2.2 I guess?) now and a tension meter later? or a cheaper stand + meter

What’s the current forum recommended ultrasonic whatever parts cleaner? I doubt I’m going to get all waxy but would like to start actually looking after chains + cassettes.

if whoever buys this doesn’t need quite such a long steerer I have the same P2 with 235mm steerer that has factory mid blade + rack mounts in VGC I would be up for swapping (I need the very long steerer)

so with the Motu would get 16 in/out with UAD plugs on all of them and processing off the CPU, albeit with a bit of latency + the other drawbacks you mention, for just under 2k?
