I cobbled it together so I can ride it.

Good:

Insanely fun to ride. Somehow feels faster than my racing bike (unless headwind...)
Brakes are awesome, for cantis at least.
Rear derailleur is magic.

Bad:

No idea how to mount guard at CS/BB.
Rack is very bodge
Spacers + bell.
Front Brake shudder, weirdly only when moving slowly - will try some different pads as crown mount canti hangers hurt my eyes.
Cable routing (Euro)
Handlebar/grip area not really wide enough.

Yeah, the 4 bolts doesn’t actually bother me, the unfiled bits do (‘cause when it gets painted gonna look like weird bumps).

That would be amazing if you can tidy them up. I’ll give you a shout in the new year.

2 bolt front clamp.

I had (perhaps wrongly) assumed the brazing at the bosses would be nicely filed too. Kind of feels half-finished because they don't match.

Definitely the right way.

I overtightened many, many sets of U-brake springs when I rode BMX. (Pair of 15mm spanner’s needed...)

I also don’t see how it would be possible on these, but looks that way from the springs sitting next to each other.
