PS On the subject of GAS I'm getting the pedal on the left tomorrow. My mate Nick is training himself up to be an amp maker and making a bunch of super limited pedals to get his chops up to speed. I've already got his Treble Booster, this is a MOSFET preamp boost. He's making me a super modded Fuzz Face next.

Yeah, a mate of mine has a 70s reissue Fender bass with that neck and I really, really don't like it. Looks totally wrong to me.

I think they'd be fine on a rosewood neck but not on maple. It would almost be a signature Rowly guitar.

But those guys are mental and the super hardcore guys do go way out into Woop Woop and have to be super self sufficient. I'm never gonna be more than 10kms from a road! An ex-colleague's husband has a 4x4 channel, he does some proper off-road shit, Simpson Desert etc, unsupported, I will never be in that league. He's a bit of an old duffer but his missus, Nettie, is a legend.

One of my carts did this recently, very annoying. Just grabbed one from the other turntable, I very rarely use them both at the same time anyway. I thought my cartridge problems were over when I switched to Ortofons, apparently not! 😐

I regularly take the XV up to Glasshouse, there are some amazing trails through the forest up there. A lot of them are unmarked on GPS which can get a bit freaky when you can't get a signal and you can't remember how the fuck you got to where you are.

This 4x4 will get us to even more remote locations, even further from a cellphone signal. It will be rad. So the next question is, satellite phone or CB radio?

It is cropped, yeah, and possibly even interpolated looking closely. Looks like a fine grain filter. The native resolution is my main gripe and the one thing that turns me off buying it. I've seen talk of a version 2 with a bigger sensor, that would get me even more excited.
