Yes I think it’s probably a continuous consideration of the balance of things. It doesn’t keep me awake, but I tend to do this thing where I tense up to the point of cramp, and then ease off. Luckily I don’t seem to be going into full cramp much at all. I think I’m getting all sorts of signs that I actually need to RIDE MY DAMN BIKE as it wasn’t like this when I was doing miles. Couple of years now where I’ve basically done nothing from a couple of years of 150+ mile weeks, every week. I miss those days, but life (more kids, work). Bleargh.

Does anyone else suffer from Restless Legs Syndrome? It’s undiagnosed (for decades) for no reason other than I don’t know what the hell you can expect to do about it, but it’s gotten bad lately and is pretty constant. I have had pain from it in the past, but not experiencing currently. Ready to take any sort of meds that would help. Apparently, according to NHS, a ‘mild opiate’ may help, but I think the constipation would not be worth it.

Another fan of The Subtance here. Lots of thoughts of the obvious Cronenberg inspiration, as well as Kubrick, Aranofsky, even Peter Jackson’s Braindead and Gillingham - all without feeling that they’d been ripped off. One part really made me think of Peckinpah’s Salad Days. I think the woman next to me probably didn’t sleep last night…
