I can really recommend BnBs on this route. I'd call ahead and ask about bike storage, but every BnB owner we came across were so accomodating and friendly, it was well worth the small extra expense. Being able to properly dry your stuff out after a potentially wet and windy day is also essential IMO.
As a non-local, I would go against Colm's advise of cutting over at Maam Cross. For me, the landscape in Connemara was one of the most spectaular of the trip. Roundstone is a nice little fishing village with a couple of pubs on the front with good food. Doo Lough is also unmissable.
Our route was 5 days between Galway and Westport, but the other direction. We did Westport -> Tully -> Roundstone -> Rossaveel -> Inishmore -> Doolin then we carried on South rather than heading back to Galway.

Ooooh, you're in my neck of the woods there! Camping or hotel? Glacier 3000 can get a bit busy with coached in tourists, but that's mainly just on the cable car. I would recommend the Les Mosses area just up the valley for nice peaceful walks though. Much more low key, there's a few nice lakes to walk to, more rolling terrain than steep cliffs. I live slightly further north in Charmey, which (although I am biased) is also a nice area for hiking. A bit further south and I would recommend Van d'en Haut, it's near Marecottes but has a small good value campsite popular with climbers. There's a nice walk up to Lac de Salanfe. If you do stay somewhere between Fribourg and Gd St Bernard, drop me a PM, I'll be happy to make some more recommendations.

It is not trivial to make a step-thru bike stiff enough to handle the higher loads of a loaded ebike. I have seen a few models that although looking quite beefy, feel very sketchy around roundabouts and started to get speed wobble at quite low speeds. I would definitely not recommend converting one for a 32mile daily driver.

It is very unlikely that anything will sell out in the next 6 months. Almost every bike brand and shop has more stock than they know what to do with now and will be trying to shift it. I would expect to see more sales coming up for new bikes and wouldn't be surprised if some 'soon to be realeased' bikes are delayed to allow old stock to sell first.

We live in a 20yr old chalet in Switzerland and get the majority of our heat from burning wood. I don't like it, but the alternative is using the 20yr old electric radiators which will anyway be banned in the next few years. Ideally we would stick an ASHP or solar panels in, but our house is so badly insulated and poorly built that the investment would not be worth it.

They were ok, we were sure to have a room setup with all their familiar things and smells, then they could slowly make their way around discovering the new place at their own pace.
Our previous move we kept them in a room for two days (I'm not sure on what advice) but I think that was a bit much. They were more stressed by being locked in a room and not able to see us than just by being in a new place. -
We left ours at a cat hotel for a couple of nights just so we could get basic furniture etc setup in our new place before they arrived. Then at least they have some familiar sleeping spots even if they're in a new environment. We didn't want to be worrying about them panicking because we were trying to lift sofas over their heads, and potentially running out of the door whilst we were moving stuff.

You do get a slight force pulling to the inside under really heavy braking, but I don't think enough to pull that joint apart. The only fear I would have is that the rear mount could possibly flex slightly causing vibration and eventually the joint might fatigue, but under a good rider who knows how to use their front brake, no problem ;)
HSC7 and HSCC. It's just a 41mm bearing top and bottom.
