Took it for a spin (brakeless, but on a long straight road in rural sussex) and its whippy as cornetto... well jealous.

dan you got me, I've been coming to terms with the fact that the stem is a tad too long - Im a lanky chap, but admittedly not quite of the primate shape necessary to ride for too long, though Im getting used to it...
its quite gutting as its a more-than-stunning cinelli milano/14 setup... looks like Il be in the market for a frame with a shorter top tube.

Just finished my first build, a completely 50's restoration of a Hobbs of Barbican Blue Riband, 1952(ish!) Excluding the Saddle (to be replaced), Bartape and Toestraps...
Got a photographer at the studio Im assisting at to take a picture, but the purple on midnight blue colours came out pretty dark in this...

Today, at a lockup on Goldsmiths campus, a white unmarked frame WITH DIADRANT FORKS, built up with some seriously ugly modern bits...
Does anyone know of a frame that copies Bates' unmistakable fork shape? It had nervex lugs so I think its the real thing.. If so theres likely some guy with some serious cash under the paint of his beater...
Sorry if you're on here and know exactly what it is etc..

last night at around 7ish (a bit late I know, Im new so only just found this thread) A guy on one of those corking pink Merciers entering parliament square... jealousy nearly killed me as I nearly hit some of the ridiculous traffic....
Then, on the way out of the square towards the embankment a guy shouted 'WHOOOOSH' as I passed him, made my day both of you. cheers!
