dont think so, will only be filing away a little notch of thread on the axles, so wont touch the the cones..

the frame is probably from 77, so I figure a cobbled together campag pista group would be nice, perhaps not exactly right, but I love the parts and I love the frame = my perfect bike..

I thought about filing the dropouts, maybe that would be best?

the paint has been stripped in a few places, it seems fine, will have it sandblasted obviously, so will get our Vaz to have a look when its properly stripped.

nah takes 700c, pretty tight. basically I love the wheels, and once I've done the respray they'll look amazing on the frame, so its worth it I reckon, wont affect the integrity of the wheels, just means I may have a little more difficulty selling them on if I ever do..

new frame arrived just now. obviously nothing could be as easy as I'd thought, both axles are too big, so will have to file into my beautiful campag track axles!

yeah, tt does slope a little, which makes it look a little more aggressive, but I've not noticed it when riding in the drops. those dates sound about right to me, will put up the frame number when I'm home. A treat to ride!

This rides beautifully and is very light, made from designer select reynolds tubing. Rear spacing is 115mm, tight clearances on the rear depending on tyres size.

Always hard to find a decent track frame in this size, and while the paint isn't in the best condition, it's a proper looker if you have an 80s hard on... Will include the stronglight headset from the second pic to get you rolling quick sharp.

I'd certainly keep it if i didn't have a frame lined up to put my slightly older parts on..

any ideas as to this? drilled prugnant type 1 lugs, frame number 14177, which to me suggests 14th jan 77, but it looks a bit earlier than that to me...

Anyone know any frame builders who have used twice drilled lugs? frame Im looking at is a 70s track frame, has plain spearpoint lugs with two holes drilled like a cinelli, one smaller one above larger.. same on forks..
