Damaged Handlebar tape

In good condition only 1 year old apart from the right hand side handlebar tape which was damaged when the cycled fell see photo.
Needs to go as the owner is moving away from London.

Lots of black ice around after the rain earlier, I just wasn't expecting it and nearly came a Croper riding through plumstead tonight.

I know exactly where your coming from, because I have asked the same questions but the sprayer cannot replicate 60 odd years of ware and tear. Once the frame has been sprayed, lined and laquaered it will look superb and it means you can take it out and ride it without having to worry.

Does it all have to be done at the same place? I would have thought you could get the frame sprayed separately and then get the box lining added later.
Are you intending to get the whole frame reprayed?

Have you tried Colourtech Crayford, would probably say the same as Bob Jackson to be fair but he may have some ideas on what you could do.
Get it built up and ready for the next pre 50's ride.

Fireplace looks early victorian or late Georgian or maybe neither of those!

What are your plans @absurdbird with the frame, particularly the paint as I love the original box lining and the colour, it would be a shame to lose it but obviously the top of the frame needs repainting, a dilemma for sure.!

Some choice parts there very nioce. Looks like the top tube has been replaced, judging by the paint damage.
Spearpoint lugs with cut outs or windows it must be a Connoisseur.

Not sure but I expect they were all competitively priced just like now, what I do know is that I will have to build the frame up on a budget for now.
How's your Hobbs after the ride, if you need a hand servicing it let me know.
