I hate that folk change their accent
It's often not deliberate is it? I know my accent is pretty 'fluid' and morphs according to context/situation/who I'm speaking to. It's not intentional, my accent just isn't very 'fixed'. I suspect it's because I didn't have a stable household/community accent growing up, but I've met other people who say they're the same despite growing up surrounded by a particular accent. It can be a bit embarrassing, I sometimes wonder if people think I'm taking the piss.

Read this recently and found it interesting and maybe helpful. Been struggling with direction re climate activism lately. Wondered if others had read it (and/or
The Uninhabitable Earth) and what they thought. (NYT didn't let me read it for long but can use an alt site to get at it.)

Lighting chat - a colleague asked me to ID a vertical tube pendant light, showed me a photo of an array of them across a room. Found this - wondering if there's a cheaper version... ideally LED and can do variable light levels. Colour change not necessary, fine gradation dimming not necessary, but like 2 or 3 steps of brightness would be ace.

Bleach ok for cleanup but I think vinegar is better for treating/preventing most mould. Don't mix the two! But after its clean and dry, you can give a wipe with white vinegar, it'll soak into the wood a bit and make it less attractive for mould. As others have said - dehumidify and pull furniture away from wall where possible.

I thought they had rules on laptop working? Quite common for cafes, and totally understandable (despite being someone who enjoys a bit of peripatetic working I also understand the need for paying the rent).
