It's open till late(ish) i think, only issue being we'd have to play the higher rate, so we could shift the playing time till later (aka we'll get there 5ish and play till we get chucked out/have to pay more) and you can join us whenever you can?
Just checked their website, open 7am-10pm, so theoretically, you could pretty much arrive as you want..

Right Westies, I have a plan. AND it's a good un'
For a mere £16 an hour (5-8) or £12 ('off-peak') before 5, the westway sports centre (we played there tonight and it is sweet) has a basket ball court for hire that is floodlight and covered from the rain.
Even if we got 6 people, that's pretty damn cheap for a polo session (£2 each off peak) and it'll get progressively more cheap more people come...
Plus they don't seem to check up unless someone else wants to use it...
I may talk to the management and see what sort of agreement we could come to, but how does this sound?
Maintaining thursdays, 4:30-7 play time? Anyone up for it?

Thanks to everyone for all the support we got, despite losing again :P, Really enjoyed the two games and really up for the next match, we've got another polo bike on the way (little luke, 'the bike figurene or something on the forum, is building some polo masterpiece in his shed, freewheel apparently) and with help from the union we should have another loaner bike made up by the end of march. Whilst big luke is building his up as well, josh is getting his sorted pretty soon! So soon we should be in polo shape. Really enjoyed our time playing polo so far, thanks again for all the support we've had.

So far we play at hurlingham (no lights) and we'd be well up for playing westpolo again...
I've got at least 4 -6 who come regularly, what day is good for everyone? Generally we try and practice thursdays (not next as we have a match) but maybe one after? There is some form of lighting at hurlingham, but might be at a tennis court...
Anyone know anywhere else?

Yeah, next thursday at hurlingham? Sound good? We'd be up for that or tuesday! We are based in kensington but play in shepherds bush
As for the sub issue, I don't think it's going to make a massive difference for the entire league nor set a precident. We scored 5 - 0, 5 - 0, 5 - 1, not exactly a 'league changing result'. As newbies we were pretty unaware of how it works and los conos didn't object at the time. In our next match, we'll stick to the three players we bring for the game only.
For total clarification, is it the case that whilst you MUST have two permanent players, you can sub between matches rather than games on the third player?

it's a well known fact that you can NEVER have enough bikes... As luke says, we had a great time and we are well up for the next game! I think credit is one word...an alarming degree of optimism is another! ha!
Cheers to los contos for a great game, we had a brilliant time even if you did slightly smash us! The atmosphere was brilliant and we'll definitely be down for throw ins.

Los Conos (Hops), we might have to play you till about 4 days outside of the time limit for our game, thursday 18th. (we have reading week 7-14, so barely anyone is here) do we forfeit this game or can we, particularly as we didn't actually enter the league until well into the two week timetable, just play this match marginally late, so we'll at least have our players here? Issue being that everyone has fucked off home. How strict are the rules on this?

The team name is Heythrop Lions (as you already know)
Just having a practice session tomorrow, so we'll sort out who is on the team and get them profiles, since i'm the only one with a profile so far
Can a team vary over the course of the league? (aka subs) We have about 10 people who turn up for practice, so it'd brilliant if we could swap the team around so everyone had the chance to play? Couldn't find an official ruling on this...
Sorry for the late PM replying, I've had a ridiculious amount on my plate lately!
