lezyne do a great little kit with glued patches, tyre boot and a scrubber bit to rough up the tube.
topeak minitool with detachable levers that include a spoke key and chain break
best pump around is the freebie carhartt one given away at the macaframa premiere, gives more pressure than a minimorph
generally the above suffice until today when I lost a hub bolt!

Has anyone seen this
its a little bit cheap.
One of my favourite bits of Rapha copy is this, "Naturally breathable and water resistant."
All makes sense until you look at the product http://www.rapha.cc/index.php?page=453
How can you justify buying them? It seems ridiculous until you try them on and then immediately suffer buyers remorse before you have even bought them (the thought of fuck these are expensive but ooh they feel so good).

so many cycle lanes leave you in a more dangerous position and encourage people to think that the side of the road is a safe place to be.
in fact they seem to be more of a hazard than benefit. glass/flint etc gets blown to the side of the road so increasing the chances of punctures.
cars often pull out across cycle paths especially when waved accross by other drivers who do not realise that you are effectively filtering up the side
cars will often turn across the paths without looking to see what is next to or behind them
the surface of many cycle paths is terrible, the green asphalt is rubbish compared to black and has a much higher rolling resistance
there is no obligation to use them and frequently you are better off and safer avoiding them.
rant over, am now off to C+

Must say I have really appreciated my conti 4 seasons.
nearly 6 months, and only a couple of puncture, generally doing 150 miles a week.
had worn through the back tyre to the beading last night so removed it, put a new tyre on the front and swapped the front tyre to the back.
the tyre i swapped had over 20 bits of glass/flint embedded but none had made any deep progress through the tyre, all fairly much just on the surface. took a while to remove all the intruders and glue up the bigger holes but am satisfied with the tyres as a purchase.
just dont tell hippy.

I love cycling in London, favourites include the route from the crabtree pub to kew gardens, along the thames. did it with elguapo last night. good road surface, quiet and fast rolling with little traffic.
another bit I like is going down holland park avenue. if timed right from notting hill you can just about make every light on green.
