So I'm left with 2 broken front teeth (Now dead and greyish) after being assaulted, and a further 2 which have moved. and a dentistry bill of around 4-5k

But main reason for the post is to ask if anyone has any experience with implants, I have been told I will need both teeth done and thought I would ask here.

Also thought I may as well ask if anyone had advice on claiming compensation for this type of thing, as the dentistry will cost so much. There is the government assualt victims compensation service, but their guidelines on teeth are pretty festidious and looks like I might not be entitled for much from them.

Would also like to thank David (Velocio) for helping me in a time of need, in trying to track down the perpetrators whereabouts.

Any advice welcome.

First thing is you need to get a CICA application in, they are pretty straightforward but if you need help I can advise you over PM.

I had one in previously for an unprovoked assault which left me with a smallish scar above my eyebrow, and I got £1500. I have two friends who needed dental work after assaults and that was paid for. They got pretty hefty compensation, though it never, obviously, was enough for the overall trauma and the fact they lost their teeth.

There was a plastic cover over the slot in the cranks and it has disintegrated with age, with the plastic in the thread, like say, a crushed boiled sweet would go. It wasn't for coming out. Tried melting it etc. We were chipping it out with a screwdriver but the only problem then was ruining the thread, and then the only way to get em out would have been a hacksaw to the axle of the cranks. Wasn't really worth it as I've got loads on and no time to muck about with all of that, so i'm going to go into the LBS on monday and get it sorted. Less hassle.

Everything else came off with a bit of elbow grease though.

Got it stripped last night; everything off it bar the cranks which were not for moving, despite the best efforts of my mate who brought his tools round. Bit of a nightmare, so it's off to the LBS to resolve that.

So, I am finally going to get my peugeot stripped, hopefully tonight, and off to get powdercoated. It's a shame as it is a shiny almost turqoise. Anyway I quite like it, but it has too many rust spots and I've got a good deal on the powdercoat from somewhere local (Glasgow). Not sure what I'm going to go for, either an off white, or most probably, stealth black. Got all my parts ready to go as soon as it's back in about a week or so.

Then the nightmare may or may not begin. :)
