Hope you didn't miss this, Current Projects a few days ago. Go.
Cool, you did a really nice job! How long did it take? How much did the materials set you back? Nicer brazing than some of the bikes I've seen Hilary selling. Well done.

Hey there! So, I'm looking to buy a new (vintage) wheelset and am considering a reasonably priced pair on campy record hubs. Thing is, the stainless steel spokes are looking a tad rusty and shinyness is a quality I value quite highly. What I want to know is, is there an effective treatment that will not only clean them up nicely but also prevent the rust or dull corrosion returning? What I was planning was..
1) Some oil on scotchbrite to get rid of the rust.
2) Autosol metal polish to shine them up.
3) Turtle wax to protect them.Does this plan sound like it would be effective? Should there be wet/dry sandpaper in there somewhere? Or maybe I'm way off and there is no real way to prevent the spoke rust/corrosion coming back? I'd be interested to know how you guys maintain or restore your wheels. Cheers.

No.1 absorbed a massive amount of crap for doing very little wrong. He has every right to be angry at the treatment he received. That said No.1, since I imagine most people here will have no problem dealing with you in the future, you should probably just drop it. There's nothing more to be gained from going on about it.
