..... What actually happened to cause this, did the driver lose control of the vehicle?
Even if you lose control, you brake!! I reckon they panicked hit a pedal and it was the accelerator and not the brake, hence the acceleration!
I gotta go across OKR later tonight! I'm not looking forward to it now I tell ya..

I thought the default player could do this? Yeah: In Music, press Menu, then Set As Ringtone
I tend to copy ringtone-specific mp3s into the ringtone folder on the phone so I've not used an app for this.
Yeah hippy, i used to use it also. but now use 3cubed and loving it - remember the default used to stick and needed force closeing a lot.
However 3Cubed does not allow me to assign as ringtone - unless I am using it incorrectly. More play needed.
I still have the default in the settings list so will use that if desperate. i just need to explore the phone more tbh!

Inbuilt Maps on the Desire are pretty good. Turn GPS on for superior accuracy.
Ta Zed, I actually turned it on as a test last night and it showed my location as in my house within seconds! it used to lag for ages and when I enterd a route it would update about once a minute - really frustrating. Not tried teh new map on teh road yet though. and looking forward to trying some voice function so I can listen and navigate as i ride etc.

I did try searching before asking this!
I just got myself sorted with toeclips -reeeeeetensssssssion etc.
Obviously its a new feeling, I'm trying to ascertain whether the clips are too small for me. My foot is further back on the pedal, the ball of my feet contacting the pedal while my toes are in the clip. does this compute as being correct? or should the ball of my feet be further forward - in the toe clips?
