^ Cikago Buke looks really good, def gonna check them out...
re. Cicli Berlinetta the American guy ends up apologizing constantly for that Canadian 'fake messenger' dick of an owner, he's an embarrassment to his country as the Toronto messengers put on the best CMWC I'd been to back in the '90s. Whatever he might tell folk he was never a messenger, and has a very limited knowledge.

I think there is one other photo of it, but that's it- the person we were living with at the time left the front door propped open as she moved her tacky shite into the flat, and someone stole it, within ~48 hours of me finishing building it.
It's a Cannondale 1FG, I'd still like one again, although I'd build it very differently now.
Dammit did you strip and polish that yourself? Also did you switch the rear hanger to run gears? I have a very similar bike and was thinking of doing the same.

Looking good... The bars and stem are yours, I'm never gonna use them. (use a corkscrew to take the end plugs out, they are only old wine bottle corks.
If you like the feel of the cotton tape there's a store called Velomondo Motzstrasse 12, they sell it cheaper than most places in Berlin (I think it was 2 euros or 1.50 if you buy a roll of 10) and can order any colour. p.s. nice meeting you, sorry it was quick was running late. -

^ I know exactly what you mean, its only after I'd been in there about 5 times did the old fella actually agree to sell me bits. Another shop worth visiting is Velosaloon in Kreuzberg, they buy a lot of old bikes from swap meets in Holland etc, then strip them into fixies for the hipster kids, but if you need a certain vintage part they always seem to be able to help. There's a NY mechanic in there who really helped me out and cheaply. Worth going for the collection of Merckx frames among other things.
p.s. I think RadKom with the BMC's moved over a year ago further west near to the Charlottenberg S Bahn, I went there around xmas, still nice bikes and a bigger store -

How is he a melt?
Just the way he tried to sell, there was no price on the frame at all until 3 days ago, I was really interested in buying that frame but felt the guy was just a scam, due to phrases like "I bought this today" and "I sent of the forks to get them professionally polished" and "Since these pics, frame has been professionally inspected with a camera to see what the tubing is like inside the frame"
and then when he finally decided to put a price up it was way overpriced.
I've always found that lfgss if you are honest and fairly priced "sales" move quickly. -

Does anyone have experience of this company for decals?
http://www.velociao.comJust bought some Benotto Bar tape of them, cheap and good service. Worth going to the shop in Berlin if in the neighbourhood. They do have a lot more stuff in stock than on their website (original decals) so its worth a call.
