I didn't get the bike.....by the time I checked the auction was over. missed putting in last minute bid by 5mins.....I dreamt about the bike....it was harrowing.

You have to sit and watch it count down to zero, when it gets to 8 seconds click to enter new bid, whether you're winning or not. Remember you have to click again on a new screen to confirm this. If you want it, put a feeler bid out earlier to see what the other bid is like, you can find out how high the other person has bid already. When it comes to your final bid, think about what you're willing to pay then add £2.55 or something onto it, stops you being pipped by pennies. It will only bid the minimum ammount you need to win the item anyway.

I bought 2 pairs of cable clips, but they were the wrong size. School boy error on my part.

They cost £2 a pair. Selling at that price to get money back and buy right size. The advert for the information states:

is anyone having problems with orange mobile data last couple of days, it keeps dropping off and not coming back!!

I've had problems this week. When I called up today they had a message saying there were problems....when they'll fix em.............f k knows!

........update on my upgrade problems.....well it looks like it might have been my router. I spoke a nice lady on the phone. Explained that I would be charged for my internet usage from now till when my upgrade kicks in.....she credited money to account for weeks usage and then gave me unlimited use from now til end of month.........

........now they question is what do I download.............what I really want is iplayer type package (I know that beebplayer is off line now). Also would like DAB radio and a music player as close to spotify without paying. I've had a bit of a look but wondered if anyone was using anything.

Good result man. If you want to know about your remaining minutes, how much browsing time you have left etc. There is an orange app in the android market for free. Type in 'orange' into the search in the android market and you will see it. I use it...its quite handy

update! Called up orange. Spoke to someone who was a little more helpful. All the apps seem to work with the 3G on. However, this probably comes at the cost of battery life and finance. I haven't exactly worked out how 500mg a month equates to.

When I put the wifi on the problem persists. Connection to internet is sloppy. Sometimes the apps work, sometimes they don't. For example, google maps, found me straight away in 3G, when I searched for another postcode in wifi the load sign came up but no location found. Then I tried on 3G worked fine.

hmmm. ....I think it is my router and wifi connection! Anyone else had similar problems? any suggestions

That's strange...i just had my upgrade and my new contract also doesn't start until next month..but my Google maps work and facefuck works fine too. Maybe the phones a bit rubbish?

I'm not sure why orange are f king about here. I am pretty sure if you/ I called up and asked to add something to your talk plan, for example pic message, they turn that on straight away.....I suspect you are right. The phone is fucked. But because they don't know that they are doing...they are giving me a ton of bullshit reasons why I am having the problems.....

I asked for upgrade............

...they didn't tell me at the time that the phone wouldn't work properly until the my next billing date, which is when my upgrade officially kicks in. .

..since getting off the phone to them I noticed that my internet has stopped working, I can't search for apps in market place, I would surprised if there is some fucking dumb clause that stops me from even making fucking calls!!!!

got desire today from orange.....having some problems

Couldn't get into some of the applications, for example can't get into facebook or orange maps. Tried to download an app (google sky or something like that) and it didn't seem to work.

Phoned up orange who told me that my contract doesn't actually start until first week of sept. Meaning that some of the functions of the phone won't work or be unstable until that point. This includes anything I may try and download!! Which means that I can't properly try out the phone during the 7 day cooling off period. Also, if I use any of the features that would be part of my upgrade package for example, internet I would be charged.

Has anyone else had this problem? and am I being a little OTT or is that just fucking ridiculous

I've posted this in here before, but it's an ongoing project so I'm posting it again. It's my 1950s Pennine. I bought it as a wreck last summer off a guy who'd bought it seondhand in 1964 and have been slowly restoring it. The latest small projects have been to revive the original 27" wheels, replace the beautiful but impractical cottered cranks, replace the original Lycett Swallow saddle with something more comfortable, and to get some period pedals. So, it now has a Lycett L'Avenir saddle, Stronglight 49D cranks, Lyotard Marcel Berthet pedals, and the original Milremo alloy rear rim and a replacement Weinmann front on the original British Hub Co. Eureka! hubs. I also had a craft half hour and retouched the paint on the stem. I've ridden it into work a couple of times this week and it's been a joy.

I got lots of bits off people on the forum, so I should mention them: Mr.C (chainring), Whizzer (pedals), Cipolinni (saddle), Dr.Sludge (Paselas). John of Ganesh Bicycles rebuilt the wheels and unearthed a suitable 32 hole rim for me.

Now the plan is to gear it up again with Campagnolo Gran Sport...

check out the classifieds, you'll def find something. Check out some of hilarystone posts. He sells a lot of stuff and some of his posts have full bikes for sale. He's based in bristol but does pop down to london to do a bike sale thing.
