where is the evidence that this has anything to do with the fact they have a womb?
Entirely independent of the points raised in this thread, which I'm not sure how far I go along with one way or another, there's a whole lot more that goes into someone 'being' a 'man' or a 'woman' than whether they have a womb/any damn physical attributes/chromosomes or anything like that, indeed some people (myself included) would say that any 'physical' basis of gender is very much secondary to the social construct, i.e. physical characteristics are used, modified and simulated to portray/maintain certain social signifiers which form the actual basis of gender. Essentially, the main thing that makes someone a woman is understanding that they're a woman (maybe the only thing), and it's not especially controversial to suggest that an identifiable group of people who have been exposed to significantly different influences regarding their behaviour compared to another group, may act differently in certain circumstances whn compared to that other group. But there's a lot of theorising that goes on on top of that, which I'm generally never too sure about.
For example men are far, far more likely to be convicted of a violent crime. Where is the evidence that this has anything to do with the fact they have testes? Well, obv it's the kind of thing people love to cook up and theorise about, but the alternative sociological idea provides a model for it without the need for any vaguery or non-scientific hand-wavey theorising. -

I think the tags say it all when they say, "troll, troll alert, troll thread, troll time, troll troll, troll troll troll, troll troll troll troll, trollolol, trolltroll, trolltrolltroll, trolltrolltrolltroll, trolltrolltrolltrolltroll"
Anyway, for those interested, the more weight you have over your rear wheel, the better you're able to stop. Trufax.

I only have the one bike, and a limited amount of money to spend (on anything), and, basically, shit wheels, massive tyres, tiny chainring, massive freewheel & mtb risers don't feature particularly high up on my list of future upgrades, as neither does getting my bike fucked up. I liked it when I played it, even tho it did seem perhaps a tiny bit too competitive for what it actually was, but if I was to get involved regularly I really would want to have my own bike, and that doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon, unless I find one in my garden or something (don't have a garden).

Haven't a clue where the flat 'n fast ones are to be found - presume Cheshire way for my nearest. I've never really got to grips with all the codes and daggers needed to get an entry in in advance... d'ya know if there're any regular around here I can just turn up at and pay on the start line?
Hehe, I probably know about as much as you do as far as codes and daggers go! This: http://www.manchesterctt.org.uk/calendar.html may be helpful, but it does still leave much under the shroud of secrecy! Well, dates/times, a course code and an organising club is a good start, and I've just had a good find here: http://personalpages.manchester.ac.uk/staff/c.storey/new%20MTC%20site/training/ttcourses.htm which appears to have course maps for the popular ones. I get the impression pretty much all the courses around here are pretty flat.

I can't see this as a sexist act, just ignorance. sexist would be to deny her the chance to do the job she loves, which hasn't happened. it has also given a platform for the likes of Brady to raise the role of women in football.
there isn't a single football fan that hasn't commented on the female lino. most have been jokes about her being a women, these conversations weren't taped and broadcast, and these men aren't sexist.

Either this post is the most finely crafted piece of ironic satire ever, or you are a complete idiot.

Ah, well my sense of humour(?) is clearly ill-served by my powers of expression - I meant find a hill and then ride 'sideways' along it - so you're staying at the same height - that way it will be a bit like you're on some banking..? You're right it was a sarky comment tho. At least that came across.

Hipster.
Haha this was exactly what I was going to post when I saw the pic!
Im talking about the Brighton Hardcore Band.
..yeh, and everyone else was talking about the actual band on her t-shirt. True story: I literally started a shoegaze/electronica band called 'Dead Swan' (because of bird flu, it was all the rage in those days) way before this shitty metalcore-kiddy whatever band even started (I have never listened to them btw, just judging them on the basis of their fan base). All our music got lost when my friend's laptop broke. :(

?
The stuff about Swans was the high point of this thread imo
