Can you ride on the velodrome with forward facing dropouts?
I have seen people riding conversions at the track but not often. Their bike guidelines say braze-ons should be padded over for safety, though I haven't seen anyone get called out for this.
Good luck with this project Dammit, I will be interested to watch it progress. Have always liked the idea of the path racers.... Subscribed

I haven't seen when normal Saturday sessions will resume, suspect March. You will need to do an induction, then basic training before progressing to intermediates, etc. There is going to be a clear progression/pathway for all riders regardless of experience level put in place this year, although I haven't seen details on how exactly that is going to work.
Watch the HHV Twitter feed and look at the web site, there is lots of information on there though I suspect it will need updating with some of the details of the new procedures. -
Cranky I never replied re Hope Vision 1. Most of my night riding is in zones 1-2 so I don't spend a lot of time in unlit lanes at night so hard for me to say. I think however the TNRC crowd rates it, so maybe they can weigh in. For what I do I am very satisfied. I think also if you search this thread for Hope vision you will find lots of opinions on it.

The Asia museum across the river from the Fullerton Hotel is worth a look. Also near there, on the street behind Boat Quay you can get a nice beef rendang for cheap. The Fullerton itself is nice but pricey, I stayed there when visiting for work.
Taxis can be difficult to hail on the street, esp. in the rain (every afternoon) or at busy times. You will generally have to phone to book one, or find a taxi rank at a posh hotel.
As someone mentioned upthread, the ethnic neighborhoods are worth seeking out. Chinatown is near the central business district and great if you want tea or tea paraphernalia.Or good local food.
See if there is a way to view/tour the black and white colonial-era houses (I had a colleague show me around so I don't know how viable this is. Maybe you could hire a bike and get to them? Cycling around the central district looks a little unfriendly but my colleagues there take taxis to work with Bromptons in the boot for the journey home.)

Latest sentence for killing a cyclist, from the BBC:
Six months suspended sentence, driving ban for a year.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-25765453I posted this in the Rider Down thread, but it seems to me one thread dedicated to driver sentencings might become a useful (if depressing) resource.

You will get more than 20 kms unless you are going really slowly. The specs say it will run 6 hours on the low constant setting (50 lumens). I charged it overnight, ran it on the commute (on 50 lumen constant setting) and the charge indicator went from green to red in less than two hours of use. I recharged rather than see how long it would burn before going flat (silly me), and I haven't had it long enough to know what run times to dead flat are like IRL. Also, I don't think there is access to the battery to put a fresh second unit in.
I bought this as a cheap alternative to a Hope Vision 1 I have on a second bike (rather than swap the mount for different size bars). The Hope will do more than a week of commuting for me on one charge of 4 rechargeable AA batteries. I would go that route if your budget goes that far. (I bought mine for 50 quid a few years ago. I didn't realize until I looked now how pricey they had become).
Hope that helps.

My Exposure Flare keeps switching off. I've cleaned it thoroughly and that helped but did not fix it.
Considering a Lezyne Micro to replace it. Reasons not to?For the micro drive you want to consider the run times. I run on low constant setting and have to charge pretty much 1x a day for a 10km each way commute. A bit annoying to me. Convenient little light though in some other respects and pretty cheap.

I met Jake at your shop and talked to him about building me something, but in the end I found a second hand Roberts audax compact in 853 pro team in my size. The savings were too big to resist, and the frame was near new. There are some pictures and a projects thread here if you want to see
http://www.lfgss.com/thread115935.html
I still sorta regret not having something built for me, but maybe next time. I really liked the frame you are selling here. Maybe Jingle Jangle will buy it and hold it for me for later ....
btw liking that stainless and blue frame you have on the go now...

I have black CK hubs, silver Sapim spokes and silver TB14s. It's fine. The black hubs are balanced out by the tyres. The rear hub is covered by the cassette anyway.
Here's what they look like (sans cassette)
