I have had something like this very occasionally - like an itch/pain associated with a tiny fibre sticking into my skin. It's always been very localised around a bit of fluff, and in my hands though, so I've just put it down to handling something irritant. My guess it that this is something like people being sensitive to something in their environment, plus a healthy dose of tinfoil hat syndrome. The whole inoculations/drinking milk/chakras out of alignment causing autism scare of the 90s is another example of this kind of thinking. The problem with the scare is that the itching feels like a creature on the skin to some (to me it has always felt like a cactus spine) and then when they google this parasite theory comes up - the explanation fits the sensation. However if you mention this to your doctor you sound like a psycho, so the whole medical process gets derailed because the doctor thinks that the explanation is that you're mental, and from that point on can't give what you say any credibility. Catch 22.

As a result of a project for my GF, I am in possession of a 27" chromed steel clincher rim (front wheel now gone). The rim has got some rust on the inside, but it looks like it should clean up all right. The chrome is very slightly bubbly in places.
They aren't anything special but still solid and free to good home - collection in Stamford Hill/Stokie.
PS, they're still perfectly true as far as I can tell, the bike they're from has basically decorated someone's garage for 25 years.

oh dear.
Yeah, FUCk that guy. How often can someone claim extenuating circumstances? It's unbelievable that society fails to recognise the elevated public risk associated with driving, to this extent.

the numbers are irrelevant, unless turned into percentages, what if there was only 1 cyclist in the uk ( i know there are more!) but by that statistic it would make them a mass murderer!
boom
[]in 2008, pedal bikes made up 1.8% of urban, non-motorway traffic but were involved in just 0.25% of pedestrian deaths and below 1% of serious pedestrian injuries
[]during the same year, there were 13,272 recorded collisions between cars and bicycles, resulting in the deaths of 52 cyclists and no car drivers or passengers
[*]a study of collisions between cyclists and other vehicles from 2005-07 found police allocated blame to drivers in 60% of cases, to the cyclist in 30% and to both parties in the remainder -

I guess this means Rapha clad seniors doing a bit of 'on bike recovery' and riding to work?
This must make up about 0.01 % of UK cyclists. What a weird thing to write.
But it is a valid comment to state that it is a current stereotype (the 'rightly-or-wrongly' being weasel words in case she gets called on it). What is wrong with her presentation is the way in which she simultaneously presents it as representational of cyclists and disavows responsibility for regurgitating that stereotype.
I'm considering writing a letter to her and my MP. With the word 'cunt' in it.

Remember to vote NO guys.
That's right, because otherwise there won't be any money for the Conservatives to take away from premature baby units, or something.I'm voting let's reimburse all MPs expenses in 9 ct gold, and MPs are only allowed to take what they can shove up their own dry arseholes live on TV. I can't tell whether this is my own idea or something I read somewhere. It feels like Charlie Brooker. But either way, it's a plan.
It would probably bring gold prices down too. Who wants something that might have been up an MP's arse?
