Have you tried the criteriums? My lady has the schwalbe blizzard sports (i think the lugano replaced them), and theyre actually really good for the price! I'm not sure I like the tread on the panaracers, seems like they would have quite a high rolling resistance.

Yes, hence why I set up a definitive thread to gauge peoples opinions on different tyres.
I'm aware of a few, panaracers, veloflex masters, etc, but really would like some pro's and con's included in why I should//shouldn't buy any.
Do you have such information?

Looking at getting some nice gum/skin wall tyres for a oldschool looking bike. It's currently got gatorskins; I'm happy with the level of protection, but want the look of the gumwall.
So - has anybody owned some good solid gumwall tyres? I'm not sure what ones to go for so would like some advice please!

Update: Both wheels sold, as well as the black charge saddle. Note that the Haro BMX stem has BMX dimensions - and only thin BMX handlebars will fit properly.

"Had my bike stolen in Healey St, Kentish town on Sat 12th may at around 11:00pm. It was double locked to a 10ft post with a D lock, cable through both wheels and another cable lock through the helmet. They removed the road sign on the top of the post and must have slipped the bike off the top - all with in a 10-15 minute window.
The bike was a white Charge Tap 2010 hybrid with 8-speed Nexus hub gears, small frame size. Modified from the 'as bought' image in the following ways.
black SKS Chromoplastic 'guards, front and rear,
a new 150mm silver 'forge ahead' stem,
Schwalbe marathon plus tyre on the front wheel (reflective rim around this),
Water bottle holder, light holders on the bar and seat post and spoke reflectors (all easily removable of course...)Distinctive scuffs etc - the gear changer viewing window bit was scuffed due to turning the bike upside down for maintenance etc. There are some black horizontal scuffs on the top tube, probably from leaning against railings, and some scuffs on the back of the saddle (charge spoon) from when I got knocked off.
The bike was only purchased in December, so it's in pretty good nick. If anyone sees anything like this (I've only ever seen one other white Tap around london) being sold anywhere I would very much appreciate any info you have. I really liked that bike and it might be fairly hard to replace, given it's an old model etc. It's been reported to the police.
