Yes I know the place is full of crappy rust buckets, but my g/f is living there now and is in desperate need of a decent bike. Her current rust bucket is falling apart....
Anybody know of any decent bike shops? She's after a nippy little single speed - not a traditional slow heavy dutch bike.
Preferably somewhere they can build one up for you, or offer you something that isn't a no-logo fixie....
thanks in advance

Just had a service by Chamberlain cycles in Kentish town (wheels trued, brakes/gears reconditioned etc etc); is in great condition and ready to ride. Deserves to be ridden more, hence the sale.
All pictures:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gu7u3az0h0pt76w/eaWNI4wayjFrame: 60cm seat tube // 57cm top tube, quite rare** Reynolds 753R (very light!)**. Dropouts: Campagnolo
Brilliant paint job – blue on one side, salmon pink on the other, with white through the middle. It has a nice little Mint Sauce (MBUK!) sticker on the top tube which reads “Ride me to the limit, to the crest of hillside dreams” from a previous owner (I suggest you do this!). Was originally built by Garry in Argos cycles (bb# Argos 8819) in 1988 for a chap called D.Manning. Has the usual scrapes and rusty scars typical of a 25 year old frame, however, no dings or dents, and is structurally sound. Internal brake routing on the top tube.
Forks: Reynolds 753
Wheels (700c): Back is a Mavic Open Pro rim, with Campagnolo hubs, and Schwable blizzard sport white tyres. The matching front wheel was stolen, and has been replaced with an MA3 (campag hub) which pretty much looks identical (same tyres).
Cranks: Shimano 600 tri colour 175 arms, stronglight 52 tooth // Shimano 42 tooth cranks
Brakes: Shimano 600 tri colour
Brake levers: Shimano 600 tri colour
Gears: Shimano down tube shifters
Headset: Shimano 600
Bars: Cinelli Giro d’Italia
Stem: Cinelli 90mm
Seatpost: Campagnolo (stuck at the moment of typing, but with the proper treatment I’m pretty sure it can be removed!)
Seat: White Vader
**
Pedals not included, but the cheap ones on there +£5**Any questions, feel free to ask. First with the cash gets it, no messing around.
Price **£400 **
Need a quick sale so no splits and no shipping for now. Local pick up at Kentish Town. Will donate to the forum as well!

Hey everybody,
My girlfriend wants to sell her rather nice Argos cycles bike (mens), since she's not riding it enough and it's giving her a bit of back pain (tt is too long in reality).
As I'm not an expert with these kinds of things, I was wondering if anybody had a clue of how to price it? It's a 60cm reynolds 753 racing geo frame, with a nifty 'france' paint job. Shimano 600 throughout, and a cinelli bar/stem combo. Saddle is a 'vader'; pretty crap. Wheels are open pro on the back and MA3 on the front - pretty identical though apart from the sticker.
Any help would be appreciated - I'll be selling it through the forum soonish!
cheers
Dave

^^ agree, but it's not like casting a line a see what bites! Scour the forum using the search button and see what people have sold similar items in similar condition for; e.g. frame for 200ish, arrospok 150ish.
Everything on here's fair prices - anything you wish to make more profit on send to eBay.
You'll find this works - as you can then buy stuff relatively cheap as well - and off of dependable ppl - almost like a functioning community.
glws though!
