Anyone know a good source / suppliers for stuff like this?
Need some kind of alcove storage unit but it's not going to be built in. I would like it to be a little deeper than this example though. Strong prefs for it being on legs.

As M. Greenbank said, it's just incentivising lower polluting cars. Sound policy
Dunno. I kind of feel that if the cars really are that gross (and are they any more gross than say other types of conspicuous consumption like frequent long distance air travel / super motorbikes / lambos / bitcoin etc?) they should be regulated out completely. Going nuts on the tax on them is icky. Looks like a cash grab, not a policy implementation.
Ultimately it's not going to get folks out of cars, so I'm not sure why we'd be cheering it.

On the one hand it was easy for me to do as I have the tools and am happy working around appliances. It also cost me nothing - other than time / hassle - because they give the assemblies out free because they know they fucked up with them.
On the other, it's a bit shit because ours wasn't even used daily until the pandemic (but I guess that's now most of its service life).
Maybe for the money we can't expect an all-metal drive assembly that lasts for a decade, but I don't think an all plastic assembly that fails so predictably is a good price / quality compromise.

This is the set I have. It's brushless which is 90% of the benefit of 'Fuel', and nothing at our gaff has troubled either the driver or the drill. Both are powerful enough to fuck any material you apply them to, so spend a bit of time getting a feel for the power they put out if you mash the trigger.
FWIW, the drill works well as a cordless driver in situations where impact isn't required like furniture building - once you get a feel for the trigger.

Yeah just had a look. 40cm max depth - could do with a bit more but otherwise a contender. Enough of a gap underneath to get a duster in at least.
