^ Depends on how far apart your v brake arms are set and which type of V brakes they are i.e. hex or cati type pads.

On another note, I always place the spring in the highest slot, loosen the adjusting screws, making sure the the arms are 90 degrees (without the pads fitted), fine tune the rebound and then align and fit the pads last.

A little bit of DIY solution:

Get 2 used/unwanted top race/bearing cap, counter lock against each other with the upper one serving as a guide for where you want to saw and then hack away! For as long as you keep your saw blade close to the guide, you should have an even clean cut :)

As for iklo/igloo69, couldn't really verify the number of sales threads he started before I made my comments but it was easily close to 10. Was thinking of buying the truative but the prob with the external BBs is the 51cm chainline, plenty of spacers on the inside of the frewheel? Spline simillar to Octalink?
