Lady on a grey bj with pink wheels on peckhams old canal path. looked v swish. I was carrying my daughter on a big blue tractor bike and my wife alongside.
I saw a couple of BJs this morning. First is one I've seen before between Tooting & Oval - kingfisher blue with chrome ends, Brooks saddle & ?Brooks leather bar tape/cork end stops on trad-style swept back bars.
Later, I saw a green BJ ss heading up Newington Butts.
Also got spotted (and greeted heartily) by that nice Japanese chap on the very shiny green ?Shorter on CS7. I think he might be a member here. Leastways, he's familiar to many members.
I've been harder to spot this week, despite the 'Clarion CC' decal on my top tube, since I've been carrying a freewheel & 23 spare gears. This morning, I needed those gears, as I had a load of clothes & bike parts on board, inc a Mavic rim strapped to the saddlebag.

NKR at about 1730, I saw a serious looking chap on a camo bike with camo mudguards (great attention to detail!), with a frame and (I think) at least one wheel strapped to his back.
Then a walkenger (well, phonenger) wearing a forum jersey and pushing a blue Perry somewhere down CS7 (Tooting Bec? Can't remember).

Oh. Maybe there's another Ellis Briggs on the route, but that seems unlikely.
Puzzled now. Still, at least that means I'm not going mad when I thought the rider looked rather different.
Hah! Just embarrassed myself with a complete stranger. Good one.
Saw it again today. Yes, there is another red/chrome Ellis Briggs commuting on CS7.
Not sure how I could have made the mistake, though - this one is a 12-speed with drop bars (red cloth tape)! The rider is a strawberry blonde with a pony tail.
Odd that a marque which is pretty rare even in the West Riding should have two such similar examples on the same route in Londonton.

Just got in to work, having seen a cluster of cyclists (one of whom I recognised) round an ambulance at the St Georges Rd exit of the E&C RAB. I rode right round to speak to my friend & check he was OK. He was, but was waiting for the Police to arrive, as he was a witness. He reports the rider suffered at least a broken arm, but was being assessed by the paramedics.
Hope he heals soon.

This morning I saw a rider on a maroon/chrome Ellis Briggs at Tooting Bec. I think it must be VeeVee, but I have been mistaken before. There was a bearded behatted chap there wearing a forum jersey and riding a debadged Surly.
Also saw a chap on Tooley St with blue and yellow deep-Vs and bladed forks. A distinctive look.

Two and a bit spots this lunchtime:
Borough High St - woman on a green Langster with purple wheels. It's a look. Maybe Suffragette colours?
Union St - male courier thrashing a blue lo-pro with chrome forks Eastwards.
Also Union Street - Big Fat Audi going across the newly paved pedestrian/cyclist space. If that lardy bastard can drive through, any bugger can.

Last night, at Tooting Bec, there was a chap in another LFGSS jersey (how come the day I see the first, I see two?) on a blue Parry. I called out DAS when he patently couldn't at the lights, but I couldn't wait around to watch his tribological aptitude, as I was trying to get somewhere in rather a hurry. He laughed anyway, so I know he heard...

Oh yeah - just after foiling a bike theft, I spotted two poloengers at Harper Road courts. I was admiring their bikes, and the man was taking a photo of the woman in what seemed to be a team kit. Of course, I've forgotten the name of the team or the player's name which were so prominently displayed... And I was too shy to DAS, though they didn't call to me either, so there is a verrrrrry slim chance they aren't members.
Couple of times now I've seen a black chap on Borough High St wearing a pisspot helmet and riding a very red bike with aero bars. He's got a big chainring and pushes a much bigger gear than I would. I've never been awheel concurrently, mind.
