50% piss take, 50% serious suggestion. If he gets the design right and brings it in at the same £219 as the Prima, it could be the basis of something nice. Not if Foffa builds it, obviously, but as a frame to build up with tasteful bits.
well, wouldnt ride neither of those, and im even not taking my beaters half seriously. Would like to have just cheap and cheerful Mash/Low/Leggenda style frame in raw alu without any decals for around 300-400ish with carbon fork. Leader is at the moment making something like that I think but thats just on one blogpost somewhere. (http://prollyisnotprobably.com/2011/06/cyclonesia_pedal_consumption_x.php)

get yours for 429e at http://www.pristinefixedgear.com/shop/ten-four-torro-frame/
the welds...oh my. Maybe with a lot of filler and sandpaper and repaint but like that it just looks awful. Worse than a VISP.

On-one are making a frame a bit like this called the Machinato, here is a picture of some prototypes from their blog (the red and blue-purple frames):
You can see it more side-on on this photo from Dalby Forest, look at the large size and compare Machinato with Pompetamine and Pompino below.
A cheap steel On-one frame with track sensibilities that takes normal caliper brakes is very tempting; decals and colours not to my taste though.
I think the red one looks pretty decent. Not sure how much they have slope on the top tube (or do they have at all, hard to tell from the pictures), as that might be an issue with some ppl.

Revs are pretty pointless, stick to Comps for cheaper and stiffer wheels which will be ten times easier to build.
I've been told the same by (one of) the best wheelbuilder(s) in Helsinki. No point really going revs, even 2cross comp is better than revs, he said (if I want lighter than 3cross comp). Went 3cross comp on my open pros and being really happy with them.

^nice. Why do surly charge nearly twice as much for something basically the same?
I think the real question is why wont on one make pompinos more attractive like surly does. Imagine a pompino without sloping toptube and excessive canti mounts for 150e. Just a minimalistic track frame instead of the jack of all trades it is now. Not saying it should replace the current though.
