I recently bought a freekey* keyring (plus the smaller keyrings). I really like it so far partly because it is easier to deal with your keys, but also partly because it just kind of feels good. They are currently on a regular carabiner but I wish they weren't.
I was after one of BRP's key clips but they are kind of hen's teeth. Does anyone know if 31trum's leather ones clip on to your belt loop with the HK sling clip or does the leather thing go around your belt?
If the leather bit goes around your keys, why does it have a button?

This is definitely nice if you like the metals. Especially the atmospheric black ones:

The band that created it, Sannhet, I particularly like.

Have you guys ever encountered things so confusing they made you question everything you thought you knew, your attitude, and your assumptions? Then you encounter something else and your world comes back into focus? Me too.
I have lost two bikes by simply leaving them unlocked outside a shop for a few minutes and then wandering off. It wasn't the few minutes that did the damge, it was the hours sitting, waiting for a scally to walk past while I was in the cinema watching a movie. I am the most scatty person I know. No locking is surely the worst way to lock a bike!

I have been looking for a Somec and saw this one today. Check out the odd cutout details (headtube, cable channel I have sure never seen, etc). A little small for me.

The blitzeis* here in the .de took me down like 5 times on the way into work (although a couple of times was after I decided I couldn't ride and was walking with my beik.)
Fine, but black and blue in a couple of places. Glad I had a helmet on because I bonked it on the ground twice, not hard but.
I saw a bunch of other people falling about the same as me. Somebody should have filmed it and put Yakety Sax** behind it. It is scary how slippery and invisible that stuff is.
- I think more commonly called 'black ice' but that is what they call it over here https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Blitzeis

RE coffee and its commoditization, etc. What do you lot think about what is often described as 'farm porn'. A particularly egregious self-congratulatory example: http://timwendelboe.no/coffee/naciemento/
I, personally, like it but I am not quite sure why.

This is kind of interesting
http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2014/jan/15/posh-toast-costs-250-sliceAlthough I am a sucker for a really good coffee from an 'artizan' coffee shop and find myself spunking out £2.50 for a flat white far too often, I've always thought the food prices in those types of place are extortionate, with a lot of these places being guilty of what the above is writing about.
£2.50 for a loaf from an awesome baker is fine, but not for two slices of toast.
A better-written article with a different slant: http://www.psmag.com/navigation/health-and-behavior/toast-story-latest-artisanal-food-craze-72676/#.UtaS3G5WEd8.twitter
Full disclosure:
I am pro luxury toast, because it sounds good to me.In addition, I am sympathetic to this article because I have been to that place and had a pleasant time and a coconut and also because I have been having a scary time mental-health-wise in a similar realm as the lady with the freckle tattoos.

This is like the 5th time where I was listening to something that is outside of my normal deal and really liked it, then had an eerie sense and checked this thread to find it on a few other people's lists.
In this case it is "Forest Swords - Engravings". It made me go and listen to his ep from a few years ago which it turns out I like too.

In Italy they drink those horrible, horrible, bitter espressos* made from burnt coffee that was ground 2 days ago and has sat in the hopper and then are uncaringly made with a plastic tamper and too-hot water.
I can imagine that benefiting from a little stain of milk foam.
