So it's Bahrain this weekend. Bit controversial but hey ho. At least they took that shit twisty bit out of the track and it's back to the old layout although it's always been a bit of a boring race/track from what I can remeber. Hopefully this new order will spice it up a bit.
Predictions?
I predict hot and dusty.

I would do some research barmeybear. I mean other than asking strangers via the net. Have a think about what you want, and look into what each of the builders offer.
Feather –** lug work**, Nagasawa – stunning finishes, Rourke – amazing fit, Mather – understated detailing, Cooper – fillet brazing etc, etc.
All that, that I can see, is covered by just one builder (I'm sure there are many that can do all this but) - Chris Bishop.
I've been seriously impressed with his frames ever since I first saw them a couple of years ago and have been following his work since then. I know he's only been building a few years but his work, his bikes are amazing!! If I was to go custom, he's very high on my list of builders.
Feather is 11 months lead time, which is more than I had thought, I really wanted it or the end of the year, but what do you expect, there are only so many custom builders in the uk. Guess its back the the drawing board
Have you seen Bishop Bikes? Not in the UK (Baltimore, USA) but I've emailed him about a possible future build, you could get measured up by somewhere with experience in the UK and he could build it for you. He's even been known to hand deliver bikes to his customers over here.

I hear you. Will be interesting to see. One of the good things about this season - it's so hard to call.
You say that about the Saubers but they didn't fair so well in China. As demonstrated by Kimi's Lotus - tyre mangement was pretty crucial in that race.
Williams seem to be doing well with their tyres.

They can use it all they want in quali, which goes some way in explaining the huge gap Rosberg put between himself and the rest in that, but also Rosberg's lap was pretty much faultless. Sky did a good comparison between his and Schumi's lap and it really showed!
But in the Race you're right, as he was in front for most of it he could only use it when passing back markers but then they'd get the blue flags as well. He did pull away very well without it but it helps being in front anyway 'cos you get all that clean air.Merc have certainly upped their game and Rosberg is on one so I think they're well placed for more great results.

I wouldn't say you'd need a complete chassis redesign to incorporate the front wing DRS system, in simple terms it's just some tubes going from the rear wing end plates through the bodywork to the front wing. If teams can develop F-ducts and EBDs and get them on the car within a season then this can certainly be done and I'm sure will be done. Of course Merc have the upper hand as they designed their car around it, much like Red Bull and the EBD. But other teams will/are definitely looking at doing it. I think the main reason Lotus and others filed that official protest was simply to get the green light to develop their own system.
I agree with mmccarthy - I reckon Mercs got on top of the tyre wear in China due to the low temps. Could be a whole different story in hot races like Bahrain. But we'll see.
I love that fact we've had 3 different winners in 3 races and it's looking very close with little mistakes making massive differences. This is already a fantastic season!

Does the face do the job, or do you just love it?
yes
That chesini is sweeet, i hope you ride it clipless and not on those downhill/bmx pedals!
All in good time... Haven't ridden clipless for about 16 years. At the moment those flats are all I got and I like them. I tried a really old and worn set of Look pedals and shoes and nearly killed myself in about 2 mins in those shoes. No way.. and they looked ridiculous.
Thanks, yeah I'm liking the chesini a lot actually.

I think if they pulled out of the race, when every other team will race and with some of thier immediate rivals sure to score points, I think it would be very costly for them to pull out completely.
