This is my bike, that was stolen a few weeks ago from my garage, locked up on the way home from the pub.

This is the same bike, with the stem loosened and the front wheel removed, back in my flat.

If not for this thread, I would not have thought it possible to recover without bolt cutters, so thank you everyone that's ever posted in here.

I emailed them this morning about my bike but have so far not had a response. Does anyone know if they're usually quick to respond?

^ That's a shame mate. How was it locked for the wheel to still be there?
Locked through the rear wheel only - it's one of those semi-vertical stands. I had stupidly thought it would be ok considering you need a keyfob to get in or out of the garage, and it's massive, and there are way nicer bikes down there. Housemate's rear wheel got taken at the same time, so I'd imagine they're riding around on that.

Please keep an eye out for my bike that got stolen from the supposedly secure garage beneath my flat in Aldgate on Sat/Sun. It's an ancient no-name frame that's been painted metallic purple with components that were mostly bought from here (b43 wheels, ITM stem, rolls saddle).
Will likely have mis-matched wheels now as the rear b43 is still locked to the stand.

But with chrome forks

It's pretty massive, so hopefully the scum that nabbed it has fallen off it and hurt themselves.

Crown seat is 26.4 - you cant really tell from the pics but there is a lamp hanger thing on them as well. Let me know if you want them before Saturday please, cos I'll throw em out otherwise.

@hugo7 I was really lucky and caught some cancellations so didn't have to wait for long. Not sure how long his waiting list is normally. He was really good to talk to, I went in with a load of photos and he instantly started folding and moving them around, sizing them up against my arm etc. I wasn't going to get it done if I wasn't comfortable with him and I was, he's a top bloke.

Here's the photo I went in with:

And here's a pic before it was wrapped up

@kboy - not in London but not far - there's a guy called James who works out of Nine in Brighton who does a lot of bird tattoos and they're awesome. Looks like there website is down but there are a few pics on their myspace

I didn't leave a note. I didn't have any pen/paper on me, plus I think it was abandoned. Had a flat tyre and one of the cranks had fallen off.
