Ha. Looking on TFL website for directions from Richmond to London Fields suggests getting off at Hackney Central and walking to Hackney Downs, which is the opposite direction from London Fields, and only just nearer. Would make much more sense to walk straight there. Ho Hum.
Also, I've just read back through the thread and I can't see a confirmed meeting time for London Fields. And will we be able to bring food + clothes to put in the Van/Coach?
Really looking forward to this!

I will probably be making a tray of these before hand - would be happy to bring some in return for a donation to the forum if anyone wanted some? They are nice and not too sweet!

But that is my point, do you not think that DM was advised on how best to spin his situation in order to turn public opinion (Hippy's) in his favour? do you think the same "experts" and attitudes exist in Kazakhstan?
Well DM was riding whilst Vino was doping. So even if he (Vino) didn't have access these PR experts, he had a pretty good example in seeing how the press treated DM, in comparison to some other dopers.
He may not have been advised - but if he wanted to be repentant he had a good example to follow and he didn't - his choice.

Thanks Branwen, when I'm feeling brave I'll have a crack at it.
Oddly enough my n1 displays no pictures in the article you link two- just the "you don't have flash sign".
I had thought that Android had Flash support, so I'm guessing that i need to download it?
Flash is in Froyo - up till then only the hTC sense roms had Flash, and then it was flash lite

Someone wanna explain what the guy on the right has been up to?At the road side of every tour for the last 15 years (i.e back as long as I can remember, and quite possibly longer). Possibly more famous than a lot (most?) of the riders.
Edit:
Unless you mean the dude in pants and t-shirt - in which case I have no idea -

The thing I don't get is why Farrar was behind Renshaw and not on Cav's wheel. He moves over to the left at first as Cav goes, but then seems to drift back right to sit on Renshaw's wheel. It seems to me that even if Renshaw had stayed where he was there was no way Farrar was going to catch Cav, so it wouldn't have changed the result. So kicking him off seems pretty harsh

And to anyone who questioned the behaviour of the US and coalition soldiers, watch the next video down. I think it is impossible for anyone (myself included) to comprehend the strain they are under, knowing that things like this could happen at any time. I'm not condoning their behaviour, just stating that it was the product of hugely unnatural states of stress.
I remember see this video [warning, hugely distressing, NSFW ...]
YouTube- Hey Ma...
which is James' song He Ma set to footage from Iraq of car bombs, and it is something we don't see on the news, and for the soldiers to live in this environment deserves huge huge respect -

One bit of good advice I read was to have a protein shake in the morning, which should keep you feeling full through most of the day. Then balanced meals.
From memory (and i read this years ago) your muscles can only operate on glycogen (form of carbohydrate) and although your body can convert protein to be used as fuel it's not very efficient.
Yeah. So if you don't eat enough carbs your body will start breaking down your muscle, so you'll actually loose muscle density.
So you take protein after training to stop your body breaking down muscle first, and then afterward to help build muscle
