Wicksie: the roc atacs are kind of between the aliums and the atac XS. As far as I know they are the same body design as the XS and XS carbon, but are heavier and aren't as fully featured. It seems that they don't have adjustable spring tension like the XS and XS carbon, but then again the picture on chainreaction seems to suggest that they have the exact same flathead screw, so maybe they do?
Either way the new design is superior to the aliums because its better at avoiding cloggage and the spring-loaded bars are beefier and therefore stronger. worth the extra money imo.

I started riding fixed with spuds, kept unclipping from them. Went back to clips and straps for many a year, and have now gone to time atacs. No accidental unclippings as of yet, although I don't ride in the same way as I used to and am very conscious of how much it fucking hurts to kick your front wheel and fly over the handlebars as a result of 'popping out'.

I bought some nice wool mix 3 quarter length cycling trousers from them in the sale. Either I've shrunk them because I don't believe in following washing instructions, or my leg muscles have vastly increased in size, because they don't fit me properly anymore! :(
when they did fit they were absolutely marvellous though. I may have to buy s'more. Also I need a new cap!
LOL... ^there's yer proof^
Oh wait, no I'm lying, because I'm definitely not åsm... shifty look

I used to have some swrve woolen 3/4s way back when in 2007. There was some kind of mistake in the factory with the stitching so a 34 fit like a 32. Picked them up for £40 instead of the usual £120, and loved them to bits (see photo).

Unfortunately after several months of washing they for some reason shrank (maybe i washed them too hot or something), but with a deep sadness i had to throw them out.
Last week I was perusing swrve.co.uk as I had a severe shortage of trousers. I bought some of the skinny fit 3/4s, cos they were the cheapest, and by golly gosh and damn are they the comfiest things I have ever worn?! Yes.
Now I also own some of the jeans, gratifyingly I seem to fit a 30" waist, although they are a little tight around the thigh. Ok, very tight. I'm hoping that 2% lycra will come into play after a wash or two. I am looking to buy another pair, maybe of the WWR trousers, but I want to see how the jeans feel after a wash before i decide on a 30 or a 32.
Man I have never been so happy with an item of clothing since... well since 2007 when i bought the wool 3/4s!

Baldur's Gate (1+2)
Goldeneye
The Sims
Driver
Quake 2
Anachronox
Little Big Adventure 2
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
Half Life/HL 2 and the episodes
Soldier of Fortune (1+2)
Fallout 2 (and 3)
Freelancer
Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear to Athena Sword
Deus Ex (1 and even 2)
UT/UT2003/UT2004
Elder Scrolls (2,3 and 4, natch)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl (really sad that my PC died before i could finish it)
Mass Effect 1+2
Mirror's Edge
Broken Sword - played it for the first time on my iPod touchTop 5:
Deus Ex
Mass Effect 1
Mass Effect 2
Elder Scrolls 4: oblivion
Half Life 2I haven't finished Deus Ex yet. I've been playing it, on and off, slowly, for the past 6 or 7 years. It is still the pinnacle for me, and i'm not really sure why.
I have played all of the GTAs, and i have recently decided that I get no enjoyment from being a criminal, even in a sandbox game environment... how lame is that! This is especially true in GTA 4 - killing someone in cold blood in that game feels so chillingly real that it's not entertainment. At least in GTA 3 it was cartoon-like and somehow not serious.

now that I've been to the toilet...
- A modest 2 or 3 bed flat somewhere in south east london
- A nice comfortable house somewhere else... maybe Northumberland, or Canada
- The trappings of a comfortable lifestyle (nice clothes - I currently own none, fun toys, big tv or projector or some shit, jet powered car with rockets in the tyres to make them spin faster.)

or £362 brand new?

That is a suspicious price. I would probably contact them or do some research before purchasing from them.

So I'm currently looking at various internet options at the moment, after having a bit of a nightmare with virgin cable.
I recently stumbled upon this rather exciting new development in mobile internet - mifi.
The service seems to be offered by a few different providers - the one that really caught my eye is from 3:
It seems like a rather neat solution for my internet needs - I'm a heavy user of data on my iphone, and spend a lot of free time internet browsing at home on my laptop.
however, I haven't been able to come up with any comprehensive details regarding how much data I would be using by, say, streaming a tv show off iPlayer.
Also, im unsure as to how it would work on my xbox. I wouldn't use it for xbox live, but I do like to have it connected to the net for system updates/profile information etc. How would these requirements affect data consumption?
I find the 1 month rolling contract of £15 pcm with a £39.99 up front payment to be the most appealing. That gives me 5 GB of data per month.
I do have (limited) access to BT Openzone hotspots at home at the moment, thanks to my dad's bt total broadband package login info, but only in my front room. It's slow and unreliable - can't stream off iplayer on my laptop with it. I can however do any major downloading on this (sort of).
What do you lot think? I like the fact that it is essentially a portable wifi network, with a decent amount of charge. I'm considering purchasing an iPad in the near future, and this is a much neater solution than having 3 or 4 different data plans across different devices. I guess my main question is - is it worth spending this for the sake of being ultra mobile?

Agree with you mark re alan wake
I rarely findgames narratively compelling yet the cheesy voiceover added to the creepyness of the game and it was really scary ( as I noted here http://www.lfgss.com/post1412941-854.html).
...and short enough to finish before boredom set ingot any games you wanna swap? :)

hm I actually had to put my chrome on to figure out which shoulder it was. It is a leftie... hmm. Always thought it was on my right shoulder. Weird!
My chrome is falling to pieces, gracefully, and slowly losing most of its features (waterproofing, quick release buckle, ability to store things), so I am definitely in the market. How big is the kremlin? could it fit an A3 sketchbook in it? Not that I ever carry an A3 sketchbook, but just as a point of reference?
