Hi everyone,
More for those within reach of Cambridge, but my brother is opening up a bouldering wall near the station that's due to open early next year. Believe it or not it will be the first dedicated bouldering wall in Cambridge, and by far the largest!
He's got a crowdfunding campaign going, where you can find out more and bag some goodies if you're keen:
http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/rainbow-rocket
Otherwise, just trying to spread the word!
Please do pass it along to anyone in your climbing circles and anyone you know in Cambridge! :)
cheers

Have a pair of gatorskins that have just come off my commuter. Had a couple of punctures in the last month so treated myself to new tyres.
They've been used for a couple of years, in central London, summer and winter, with plenty of nicks and cuts - though nothing overly terminal. No idea what mileage. Probably have a little bit of life left in them for anyone who wants them.
Pickup from SE1 Waterloo area, they'll be thrown out for recycling within a week.
EDIT: sorry, forgot to say they're 23s

@mdcc_tester and @PhilDAS thanks both. yeah it's not for any real aero benefit. just a gift to my brother to 'upgrade' his bike. we rented pinarellos last year and joked about the marginal gains on the aero spacers his came with (mine didn't) and how that would pretty much sew things up
@Saarf hmm i was going to congratulate you on your spot, and invite you to celebrate all things jawas, but now i'm afraid you're asking on behalf of disney, in which case, noooo.... not at all.....

aero spacers (e.g. here)
will these fit on any normal 1-1/8" stem or is there something funny that won't line up? standard stem cap will work?

Hey,
If you're going out East Grinstead way, then this route may help you out..
http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1559344495It's a route I plotted that starts from Crawley (avoiding London A-road traffic, and if it's "London Gatwick", then it's still London-Brighton, right??), takes a diversion towards Tunbridge Wells (to take in some hills), and then loops back down to Brighton.
The bit you might be most interested in is mile 30 onwards. If you get to East Grinstead, then follow vilms' route through Forest Row, then keep going to Nutley and follow my route. It's mostly country roads, generally quiet, excellent road quality perfect for road bikes, and beautifully scenic.
hope that helps, do share your route once it's done
enjoy!

I'm still out of the country at the moment, but if you can wait until next week, then we can arrange something.

i got 8.07 start (gate 9), but have friends in 8.22 (gate 11) and 8.37 (gate 13)...
given the crazy volume of people, and what @andyp said, sounds like meeting up after starting is not a goer.
what are the chances they could jump forward into my gate (we'd like the advantage of the extra 30 minutes head start over the broom wagon!!), given said crazy volume of people? do they do strict checks?
alternatively, should i try go into the later gate, and will they let me in..?

Sadly will pass on this.. Was so up for one and excited, but it's pretty pricey and can't justify at the moment. Good luck I'm sure you'll hit your 30 no problem and I'll rue toys decision by December..
