If you have a bike bag then take the wheels off and put it in there. Or you could buy a big laundry bag/ikea bag and take wheels/forks off.

If you're mega desperate you could just buy a ticket to cambridge then peterborough and use the trains where you can put loads of bikes on.

My foreign friend has accidentally bought tickets for England vs. Australia football this Friday (27th) which is being played at the stadium of light, Sunderlund. (She thought it was wembley)

On the extreme off chance anyone happens to be heading up that way she has two tickets selling for £20 each.
