Dasmiller I ride these rims on my track frame (lowly Miche hubs), I do 30 miles a day,couple of big hills with a front brake,they work just fine,much of the time you don't really need a brake when fixed,but it is there if you really need it in a hurry. That is one F ..in nice wheelset, if I had the cash I would not hesitate.

Received the wheelset yesterday here in Ireland - since then I have replaced the bearings in the rear wheel (almost totally unusable as you know) - retrued the front wheel 1.5cm out & replaced a bent spoke, none of which you mentioned to me or in your post.
Thankfully I have had better experiences on this forum with my previous purchases. How you described your wheelset was dishonest as best.At least the NOS Kalloy stem was as described,
and no I won't be paying for it.
