Actually I have found most places and people to be accommodating. The only minor incident I had was last year. I was on my Brompton in Piccadilly Circus stopped at the light. When a Policeman jumped in front off me insisting I was going the wrong way. I pointed out to him the road markings and told him its a bus contraflow. He stepped back on to the pavement and said something along the lines 'No problem, carry on.' - not really anything anti-cyclist more concerned for safety.

I do think things are generally improving in London than getting worse, there are always going to be people that outright hate cyclists. The issues we need to focus on are resolving the lorries in London issue. Either through training for drivers and cyclists or getting some kind of time restriction put in place.

Glad to hear you guys got around ok. I managed to get home fine after trashing my
front derailer. Its a shame there was such a small turnout. Happy to let you guys get on with it, not been riding much of late would have just slowed you down eventually.

There are a few hills at the start, short up down affairs. Someone did do it SS/fixed last time round, a few SS riders pulled out early too. The section through Barnet last time round was tough because of the rain. Then in Lewisham towards the end there was a double hill which is sort of upsetting. (I walked it because I was knackered at that point). Whilst we won't be bolting it I think riding fixed just means its going to be more leisurely. Any other opinions?

It was okay. Only had a single pannier for that one nighter. The gap between the inner and outer could probably stash a few things but I wouldn't try to cook or anything in that space.

I will be around during the day and evening.

Yeah it was £25 a few weeks back. A month or so ago I needed a second tent for a trip so went for the Matterhorn, which isn't bad. But this might be a touch better quality wise.

Yeah I am fine with the 27th as well.

My googling has also come up with the Klymit Static V too - but its £60. The Alpkit options look interesting - specially the Airo 120. I was going to order a few other things from them so I might just go for that. Will let you know how I get on with it.

I just got the Litchfield Self-Inflating pad from Amazon it will do for what I need it for over the next weekend. But I really need something more compact for my tour in July.

Will happily do this again! Open to June, July providing it doesn't clash with the DD or Audax rides on my calendar.

My MotoG 8GB is now prompting me to upgrade to Lollipop. How are people finding it. I don't have enough space so I need to uninstall a bunch of apps, upgrade, then re-install my apps.
