Ok, it wasn't a TV Movie (just seemed that way) - but the title was different. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conquest_of_the_Planet_of_the_Apes"]Conquest of the Planet of the Apes[/ame].

Transporter 2. Awful film
So crap they made another one, and probably another one. Besson's production company are behind these too - but lets move on.
Watched The Sum of All Fears last night - Perfectly OK for the first hour, then turned to weird slow motion/everything on fire/cram in expository shit.
Don't get me started, they had some real scope for making the rest of the Jack Ryan books. But this fucked it up.
Followed it by Super.
Been meaning to watch that too. Check out 'Defendor' from last year, with Woody Harellson, same kind of theme.
Highlight was Ellen Page raping Rainn Wilson.
That is the only way Dwight can get any action.

Please could someone advise me which android I should go for next, I currently have a Desire S which I really like - I like the size and useability of it. Ideally I would like a phone with a better camera, better battery life would be good too. I use the phone as an MP3 player so a phone with decent sound would be good - was thinking maybe one of the htc beats phones?
Sony Xperia Ray - I use Spotify(local playback mode) through the day. Sound quality is great. I do about 2 hours of playback, a bit of web and some calls and texts a touch of facebook. With the screen brightness turned down it gets me through a working day. The best thing is still the size. The HTC beats phones I'm sure are good, but there is nothing special about the handsets its just the headphones.

Just watched 50/50.
Superb.I really liked 50/50 too. Saw 'The Thing' prequel, actually was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a scientist was still pretty hot.
Continuing on an Arnie theme -the other night I watched 'Total Recall', had forgotten how good it was. Wondering how the re-make is going to be later on this year.
Still haven't managed to go see 'Man on a Ledge' yet, probably this weekend.

You kept Lydia with you? I left her in the castle, I didn't bother buying the place in Whiterun since I was able to stash stuff in houses I got the keys for. e.g. Alva's house. I have like 22k and four or five stashes of stuff hording dragon bits and various other crap. Having a follower on missions sometimes seems to be a hinderance. There are quests where you have no choice, but then it helps they are invincible.

I'm at level 25, one handed, heavy armour and destructions perks. Most Dragons are easy to deal with, but Elder Dragon seem to just burn me down, I have shitty fire protection. Running away seems to work though they do give chase. On the way to Markarth is when they seem to attack. Not seen them anywhere else. I used the river to get away.

Cabal, while an ace read didn't work that well as a film though any Horror fan would partiulrly enjoy David cronenburgs role in that
That was 'Nightbreed' which at the time I thought was great, re-watched it a few year ago. Not so great, but the Cronenburg cameo-role was amazing.
Saw it on Saturday night. Excellent but bleak, really fucking bleak. Beautiful landscapes, gritty action, life's big questions, reflection, Liam Neeson handles all superbly. Stay until the very end though, the final titles go on forever but stay until the very end or you see a different film to the one that those who jump out of their seats and leave once the end titles start...
I really like 'The Grey' saw it at the weekend too. The people I was with were not so impressed. Neeson was amazing, a true actor's performance. I didn't stay till past the ending though I will check out the post-credit scene when the DVD comes out.
I wish so much that I had listened to you.
I thought the first was passable. This was frankly the worst thing Working Title have produced in years. I'm almost glad they didn't hire me last year if it'd meant I'd have been working on this dross.
The cast should be fucking ashamed - Gillian Anderson in particular - she had no right to be in that film. The no-doubt hundred or so writers that were used to plagiarise all of the shitest ideas from the past 50 years of Cineworld releases should be forced to watch something good if they absolutely have to steal from something.
They're supposed to be the most important production company the UK film industry has to offer. I bet DavCam and his fucking "Let's encourage succesful film franchises" cronies fucking loved it.
Absolute bollocks with the only redeeming feature being the banana/gun switch.
Oliver Parker, Tim Bevan, Eric Felner, Chris Clark, Hamish McColl - you can all fuck off.
I don't give a shit if you get good box office overseas - the French don't know any better. That or they're in on a joke which means they like watching stupid British people embarassing themselves.
You TWATS.
LOL - I agree totally. I didn't think much of the film overall, but it did have some funny bits - which I can't remember.
The thing is that stateside just having Atkinson in it will draw people in so the box office numbers will actually be decent. The relative cost of the movie versus US box office alone will mean that there is probably another movie coming this way.
As for the actor embarassing themselves - don't forget for someone like Anderson it is just a pay check until the next decent period drama comes along.
Gonna go and watch Robin Hood Prince of Thieves to calm down.
Yeah that actually has its moments, I saw a tweet about it being on at the PCC this week.
Got Drive on DVD on monday, and watched it again. Just such a slick movie. Last night finally got around to watching 'Black Rain' after mentioning it pages ago. Going to see 'The Descendants' tonight, fingers crossed.

Played too much MW3 at lunchtime. I'm sat here typing up some work, trying not to be distracted by the Meme thread, I heard a rumbling of a plane landing presumably at City airport and went to take cover, thinking, 'stealth bomber'.

You think that is bad. I have played so much MW3 since it came out (I have prestiged two times) that I had the HUD burned into my vision. Thankfully I started playing Skyrim two weeks ago, now I have the magic - skills - items - map menu overlaying every thing for the first few hours of the day. The Metal Gear collection for 360 is out in a few weeks - it will be great hiding out in cardboard boxes again.

This Speedplay and mid-foot positioning setup is a revelation to me. I tried SPDs, but never really liked it. I do have big legs and for some reason I have naturally been cycling with my midfoot for years. When I started fixed I was using my straps with a platform pedal, and I guess I just got used to doing it.
Going to have to find out more about it. But this could finally see me going clipless.

Since I started using the Brompton between stations and destinations, and cycling in normal clothes I have found just going a little slower helps a great deal. I still get a little sweaty but thats when the wicking base layers and the padded shorts comes in.
